My wife and I had an attempted scam pulled on us from what sounded like a bonafide phone call from a Sheriff Deputy saying our son was in an accident (his fault) with a 5 mo. pregnant woman; and he was being taken to the jail to await an appearance before a magistrate. After 5 hours of waiting for our son's name to appear on the jail roster it was determined by all concerned that the "incident" was bogus. When we finally reached our son he confirmed it.
