My son was addicted to drugs and while under the influence was arrested with another third degree felony charge. He had a history of misdemenors related to drug/alcohol and one expunged felony. My son was looking at a conviction of three to five years in prison for aggrevated assult with a deadly weapon. He did not have credible witnesses for trial. Shawn managed to negotiate a one year sentence to be completed in Duval County Jail and the Matrix Substance Abuse Program, keep me well informed and tolerated my son's drug induced communications. That alone took a great deal of patience and professionalism. Shawn knew the laws like the back of his hand. All I can say is he saved my son's life and today he is drug free. I am forever grateful.
