Simply put, David Black is among the very best in North Florida at his work. I was the victim in a rear end auto collision that caused significant and permanent damage to my spine, and suffered chronic and serious injuries as a result. I initially went to another firm that is very well know, and the two experiences couldn't be more different. While the other firm was very friendly and available during the initial sign up, everything changed once I was a client. The attorney who represented me felt a phone meeting was sufficient for our first consult instead of a face to face, and I only spoke with him personally twice over a period of nearly two years as a result. The entire time my case languished (unknown to me as I was solely focused on my recovery) and I was constantly ignored, call backs were always from a different aid at best, and they insisted I would have surgery to correct the issue if I ever wanted a significant recovery, or else the case was worth very little, despite major and devastating injuries. Eventually I tired of the disfunction and began searching for a new attorney. I came across David after researching many firms carefully, and once he agreed to meet with me face to face to go over my case (without any signed client agreement yet), upon meeting him I know he was the right fit immediately. Within approximately 9 months David was able to successfully negotiate a settlement with both my and the at fault driver's insurance, out of court and without ever filing a lawsuit for the policy limits of both. Throughout the entire process he was always available, responded to multiple emails in the same day, and navigated multiple complexities due to specific factors of my case with grace and ease. Humble, intelligent, and warrior are words that cross my mind when I think of David Black. He is as easy to talk to as another shopper in a grocery store, and highly efficient. I simply cannot say enough good things about David R. Black. I would recommend him to anyone and he will be the only personal injury lawyer I would ever use in North Florida again.
