On April 27, 2015 I was involved in a very bad automobile accident on I-95. Thankfully I suffered minimal injury to my body. Unfortunately my car was not so lucky. After surveying the damage my insurance company decided that the damage to my car was so extensive that they wrote the car off as a "total loss." The insurance company then offered me a settlement of over $5,000 less than what I still owed on the car. I had purchased my car only a year earlier. It was 2 years old, and I was under the impression that by purchasing it used I was getting it at close to its real value. My insurance company saw it differently, and despite several lengthy phone calls with several different departments, my insurance company would not budge on how much they would offer me. At that point I was distraught twice - suffering through the trauma of the car accident, and then the additional trauma of my insurance company telling me I would have to come out of pocket with $5,500 to pay off the difference between what they were giving me and the amount I still had left to pay on my car loan. Around that time I spoke with Ryan Wynne of Slinkman, Slinkman & Wynne about my situation. I told him after my extensive conversations with my insurance company that I was assured there was nothing they would do to offer me anything more. Ryan asked that I give him a chance. If he was unable to get anything, it was not going to cost me any money, as Slinkman, Slinkman & Wynne only gets paid if they are able to get you money, as well. Over the final 6 months of 2015 and into the beginning of 2016 Ryan would update me every 6 to 8 weeks or so of his dealings with my insurance company. I honestly thought there was no way he would get me another penny, although I was impressed with his tenacity and his acumen. Then, in the middle of March of last year, Ryan called me to tell me that he had gotten my insurance company to agree to pay more. It covered a significant portion of the difference between what I owed and what they gave me originally. To this moment I am still amazed at how Ryan Wynne was able to pull that off. And, even more so that he stayed on the case through all those months when the law firm's payoff was not going to be hundreds of thousands or even tens of thousands of dollars. If you are involved in any type of personal injury case I highly recommend the law firm of Slinkman, Slinkman & Wynne. Their knowledge, experience and willingness to see your case through until you get a favorable settlement is the best I have witnessed from a law firm.
