Choosing to hire Karie L. Sanoba proved to be one of the worst decisions I could have made during a difficult and stressful time. I was referred to her by someone else who was getting divorced and said I would be in “good hands”. Unfortunately, this was not the case. I too, checked the reviews and regret not taking heed to the very real and awful experiences other people had written. Instead, I gave her the benefit of the doubt and chalked it up to “disgruntled clients”. BIG MISTAKE. Listen, what people say about her is TRUE. In the 9 months since I hired her, my divorce case has gone nowhere. At the temporary relief hearing, she argued NOTHING for 15 minutes against someone who was pro se. No counsel. What did she argue for 15 minutes when he didn’t even have a lawyer? NOTHING. My ex-husband got 50/50 timesharing because he argued better than her! Court ordered mediation was never scheduled, child support was never reconfigured after my ex-husband provided updated financials and the motions to hold him in contempt were never filed. Even when she caught him in a lie! I have been in “square one” so to speak, since day one. The worst part is the way Karie Sanoba and her paralegal Denise treat their clients. Its deplorable. They are rude, condescending and belittling. I was patient, courteous and trusting of the process. However, that didn’t matter. Every phone call and email had the same inconsiderate and disrespectful tone. When ive asked to speak with Karie, I was told a flat a NO by her assistant. Ive paid over $6k of a $10k bill for little to absolutely nothing but calls and emails. When I told her I was a victim of domestic violence later in the case, and that both me and a friend of mine had been attacked by my ex-husband, neither Sanoba or her assistant even asked if I was ok or showed any compassion or empathy. Her assistant rudely interrupted me and said “put it in writing” CLICK. Sanoba did nothing. Except charge me of course, for the phone call to her office and the email she requested. After all of that, I get another bill in the mail before Christmas. As a single mother and a Polk County school teacher, I get paid monthly. Except in December, when teachers are without a check for 6 weeks due to the winter break pay schedule. Thinking I would have at least 30 days to pay the bill, I didn’t anticipate any problems… Less than 30 days later, I get an email from Sanoba that she is suing me for non-payment seeking wage garnishment and going after any property I have. Sanoba had filed motions to the judge to order this proceeding and tacked on an additional thousand dollars to the bill that been mailed less than a month prior. My response was simply what I explained in this review to which she responded “don’t take it personal”. WOW. Friends, please don’t make the same mistake I made by ignoring truthful experiences. You need an attorney that is on your team and out for your best interests. One that you can talk to and one who is willing to speak to your concerns and worries as they arise. Karie Sanoba is NOT that attorney. The only time you will see her is the first visit, just to get you to sign her. She doesn’t care about what happens to you. Unfortunately divorce and custody issues are not a time that you can afford to have a callous, pretentious, condescending, disrespectful individual taking your money and doing nothing to earn it. You need a lawyer that remembers they work for you.

I was in a really bad place when I met Ms. Sanoba and although going through the trial process was tough, I wouldn't want anyone else next to me other than her.

I was considering hiring Ms. Sanoba again but dealing with the front desk/paralegal is unbearable. Denise cuts you off mid-sentence, speaks to you like you are an idiot, and is very condescending. She has obviously been there a long time and won't be going anywhere anytime soon...but the attitude needs to go. Ms. Sanoba is an excellent attorney but having to spend that kind of money only to be spoken to like you are an unimportant imbecile by the paralegal is very disappointing.

I hired Karie Sanoba for my divorce. I absolutely loved her! I had a difficult divorce, and custody battle. She was great in court. I would recommend her for anyone going through a divorce!

Ms Sanoba and her paralegal, Denise, are an excellent choice for legal representation. She is expensive, but worth every penny. I had to endure a 2 day trial, but with the 2 of them by my side, I was calm and confident. They are very organized. Denise will dedicate herself to your case, even if it means working on the weekend. Ms Sanoba will also dedicate herself to your case and make you a priority. She is fierce! She is someone you want on your side and defending you. They pay attention to details, and they really get to know your case. I am so very impressed by how prepared my case was. I couldn't have done it without both of them. Highly recommend!!

I would recommend Atty. Sanoba to everyone! She is professional, and handled my case beyond expectations! She has a professional demeanor and shows true grit! I love her staff, and truly felt comfortable talking to them!

Me and my wife have spent thousands of dollars with her to represent our case for the past 2years now we are still in the same place nothing has changed except the never ending bills that we never get except when we are hounded by the very rude and disrespectful front desk lady named Denise everything kerri has done would have been done by the courts without hiring her we have ask Denise so many times to talk straight to Kerri and we are put off or they say they will schedule it but always forget or if you call and tell Denise pertinent information bout your case you could end up being in the middle of a hearing and Kerri will be blind sided by information (happened to us) cause Denise didn't relay the message from you she then looks at you as if it was your doing not to tell her and finally don't but surprised IF you do get a bill and it's through the roof they charge for every little thing O yeah that quick question you got that you wanna call and ask is going to cost you $30 but whatever you do don't dispute the bill with Denise all you'll get from her is she will let Kerri know to send a paper to you telling you that she is going to drop you for non payment although I think Kerri needs to get rid of the people in her office and get ones there that actually will remember and help you Kerri is a very aggressive lawyer and really good at what she does but her staffing is garbage

I called this office on a Friday and was told someone would call me back about scheduling a consultation. No one ever called so I called the following Wednesday and a woman scheduled for the following Tuesday at 9. I showed up and they had no record of my appointment and Denise insisted that she would have been the only one to schedule it but didn't remember me. Didn't bother trying to go back. If they can't keep track of my appointment I have zero confidence in them keeping up with my case.

Loved working with her. She handled an extremely tough case and not only did a good job but did it at one third the cost of my child's Fathers attorney.

Represented me in a child custody case, if she was adept at law as she is at billing, we would have won. Instead delayed and charged excessive amounts. Just know every bill she sends you cost $30 to get.

Ms. Sanoba represented me in a divorce case involving child custody. Ms. Sanoba did an excellent job and my ex-husband now refers people to Ms. Sanoba for representation.

Karie Sanoba is the most awsome attorney in the Polk County area. Karie represented me in a very heated custody battle and won my children for me. Karie and her assistant, Denise, are very compassionate, yet stern when they need to be and always keep you informed of what is going on in your case. I would recommend Karie to anyone going through a divorce or custody battle, she is the BEST!
