Attorney Eckert got back to us right away and went over everything we needed to know over and over again until we were comfortable. Wow! Its rare that i give a review for anything but for Attorney Eckert i must!! So i have 3 kids on the Autism Spectrum and i have been dealing with Pasco county school district regarding my children's education for years. I have had several issues over the years . My biggest regret is that i just recently came in contact with Attorney Eckert. I wish i had met him 10 years ago . i believe things would be very different for my kids today. I was referred to Attorney Eckert by my IEP advocate because i needed to file due process because i had been begging the school district to provide 1:1 assistance for my son for years but they simply refused. They would come to IEP meetings and talk about how my son needed someone to work with him 1:1 for any progress but then when i asked them for 1:1 help they would turn around and say he didn't need it. By the time Attorney Eckert came on board we had actually had resolution meetings with the help of my IEP advocate and the district had agreed to one to one assistance. However they refused to provide comp-ed for my son for all years lost due to their deliberate denial of his rights to FAPE. They also kept saying that the 1:1 assistant had been approved but no one had applied for the position so they still couldn't consistently provide the service.Attorney Eckert was able to get him the comp-ed time he was entitled to ( way more than i had initially asked for) and 1:1 assistant and in just a few months my son has made huge progress. Attorney Eckert is a special kind of human being though ..way beyond being a good attorney which we all want. Can you imagine that he called me several times after hours and weekend just to make sure that i was ok with the whole process and always seeked my input throughout the process. And i mean him personally not his front desk!! i mean which law office do you know that does that? Dear parent hear me please....if you have a child with special needs and you want a knowledgeable. compassionate and thorough attorney who will work tirelessly to get what your child deserves call attorney Jeff Eckert.. you will not regret it!! Also his pricing is very reasonable . He simply is the best!! i could compose a song just to thank him....i want all parents who need help to know him. Go early don't wait like i did start ( actually the problem was getting a special education Attorney with the nerve to sue the school district for many years)) when your kids are young that early intervention will save you tonnes of headache and heartache over your child. I wish every one the best of luck as you fight for your kids' education. Don't give up and don't give in!
