Attorney Brandon Stewart: 11 on a Scale of 1 to 10! Now that our governor ─ who all but admits he is more concerned about protecting the “health” of big corporations and special interests ─ has gleefully shed all pretense of responsibility for his COVID-impacted constituents and subsequently jettisoned key restrictions of his original moratorium on foreclosures and evictions, you may be reading this review because you now find yourself ─ much like me ─ facing a foreclosure lawsuit through no fault of your own. If so, there’s some bad news. But there’s also plenty of good news. First, the bad news: Many real estate lawyers will suggest that there are no sustainable affirmative defenses in a foreclosure case and that a final judgment in favor of the plaintiff is a foregone conclusion. Now, here’s the good news: Luckily for folks like us, Justin Clark Associate Attorney Brandon Stewart does not subscribe to such flawed legal theories. Yeah, ok, I get it. Technically, I am a deadbeat. But that does not necessarily mean that the bank or loan servicer suing me is unequivocally entitled to waltz into a courtroom and take my home without resistance. That would be like me telling you that you owe me $500.00 and that I (with apologies to Mel Brooks) “don’t need any stinkin’ proof” to do just that. That’s not the way it works, folks! Here’s some more good news: Brandon is a fearless and tireless bulwark for beleaguered homeowners like you and me. Through the legal process known as discovery, Brandon forces the foreclosing party to PROVE that it owns the loan outright (i.e., has “standing” to file the lawsuit). The plaintiff must also PROVE that it fulfilled all required state procedures prior to filing the lawsuit. For my case, Brandon diligently and tenaciously read ─ and re-read ─ each and every word of the plaintiff’s complaint to ensure that the bank or servicer did not make any serious or “fatal” errors when processing or handling the loan. (It happens more often than you may think, and it can potentially result in a dismissal of the lawsuit without prejudice.) Discovery can ultimately be the plaintiff’s kryptonite --- and Brandon knows how to use it to YOUR advantage! In addition to being an intrepid and fiercely resolute advocate for distressed consumers and homeowners, Brandon is most accessible and responsive to his clients’ needs. In the years he has represented me, he has welcomed all inquiries regarding my case and consistently responds to my e-mails within a day, if not the very same day. Kudos are also in order for Brandon’s most adept paralegal, Kristie, who promptly alerts me of any status updates as applicable to my case, including e-mail notifications of settings and/or cancellations of hearings related to my case.

They worked very fast to STOP my wage garnishment. They are very professional, kind and caring ❤. When I called or emailed I got a very quick response, especially when I emailed because it went directly to the person I was communicating with vs calling you get the receptionist then she takes a message then in turn gives the message to whom you are trying to contact. You may miss the returned call 📞 for whatever reason, as with ANY call 📞. Wayne was very clear what he needed from me to file.
