This is a late review but nonetheless a needed one. Mr. West took my case and asked me for a 4K retainer and promised to jump on the case right away, a few weeks later I had to follow up and the case was open eventually. All communication had to be done with Mr. West since (at that time) there was no paralegal and the secretary would just tell you whether he was there or not. In over 6 months, never saw a draft document nor a monthly itemize scope of work or hours billed. The case solved outside of the court eventually between my son’s mother and I but not even once did I see any documents (draft proposal) that Mr. West was suppose to be working. I asked Mr. West to let me know if there was anything left on the retainer and never hear back from him. Im considering to file a complain with the Florida bar.
