I worked with Ms. Murad while she worked at the the Public Defenders office in Palm Beach County. She handled a DUI for me with very unique circumstances, I had moved out of state and was unable to return to Florida due to Covid. She got me the very best deal possible and I was very happy with her services. I had/have very limited resources but I did the best I could on probation. In the meantime I found out I had not successfully finished my probation and had two new charges. At this time Ms. Murad had gone into private practice, which I did not know but a quick search of the internet and I found her information. I sent her an informational email asking for help and without hesitation she agreed to help me. Since my last DUI charge I had also undergone some major life changes. I feel it’s important to mention here because I want my community to know she is a lawyer you can feel safe with. I transitioned from MTF and throughout the latter process she treated with the utmost dignity and respect. She helped me dispense of my warrant for my probation and arrange for me to turn myself in on the other charges while helping me arrange bond with a bond agent and giving me the opportunity to keep receiving my much needed medical care. I could never pay her, no matter the amount, for what she did for me. When I hired Prya, I was really at rock bottom because I had already hired a lawyer who didn’t help me and I had no trust left. Prya listened to my concerns, writing exactly what I needed in the initial contract in order to trust a lawyer again, and she fully upheld her professional obligation to represent me to the best of her ability. I was represented as a victim and Prya did everything to make sure my safety was restored, no matter how difficult that was. She had my back every step of the way and had everything under control. But what I like most about Prya is her incredible moral character and her strong sense of ethics — both in regards to representing her client, but also towards larger concepts of ethics and justice in general. Prya offered the respondent a chance to turn his life around. He could have walked free, with no need for a hearing, no public record, and no criminal record if only he agreed to stop harassment. I didn’t know this was legally possible, but I was pleasantly surprised and accepted. The respondent promptly said no to Prya’s generous and wise offer, and he ended up destroying himself. Prya had it under control through all the chaos, and I was grateful to her and in awe of the way wisdom and justice were delivered through Prya’s work.
