Retained this attorney in late February for a March 16 2021 closing. Told there was no problem and all documents were ready to close. It is now July 23 2021 and still no title policy or survey in spite of being emailed on June 1 that they would get me the documents. Went to the office on or about June 8th and was told they would courier documents to my hotel. Have notified both realtors of the deficiency and have contacted Old Republic Title to get their assistance. My problem is that it was a cash transaction so there was not a lender's attorney to protect me against my own attorney. Have filed a complaint with Florida Bar.
