October 25th, 2020 My name is Karla. A few weeks ago I was at an absolute loss as to what to do about an ongoing Workman’s Comp claim due to an injury that occurred at my place of employment several months ago. Ten years ago, I was in need of an attorney to resolve a different type of legal issue. It was at that time I first met Martin L. Hoffman a senior partner of said law firm. After a free consolation Mr. Hoffman accepted my case. All these years later I was again in need of legal assistance but for an unrelated matter to the first. Several months ago, I was injured at my place of employment. Foolishly I spent months trying to resolve my legal issue with Workman’s Comp on my own. I only did this because I didn’t know any better and didn’t realize I was dealing with an insurance company. I thought Workman’s Comp was on the side of an injured employee who was hurt at their place of employment and would be supportive on my behalf. Workers Comp treated me respectfully but the day came when I realized they represented my employer and it was my employer’s best interest they looked out for. From past experience I knew Martin L. We hired Martin to handle our son's appeal of SSI benefits denial. He took a caring, understanding approach to dealing with our bi-polar son, who was willing to pursue, but not particulalry cooperative. Martin also kept us fully informed throughout the process. Social Security for mental disability can often be an arduous task. Although it’s not obvious what is going on to those on the outside, Mr. Hoffman was able to expose quite eloquently what was going on in the inside and presented a successful case for her son. I would highly recommend him.

I went to get a consultation from Mr. Hoffman and he apparently had no interest in my case, yet alone hearing it. He runs his mouth a hundred miles and hour, so I could barely get a word in, or even answer his question before he would ask the next. Then in a rather unprofessional and rude way, he straight up told me that I would not get anywhere in my claim. I informed him of all paperwork I had for my case and he didn’t bother to look at it. He just adamantly kept telling me that I had no case and that I did not appear to be in the condition that I mentioned. You must be a special kind of ignorant to really think that all you have to do is look at a person and be able to determine their ailments. Thank God he’s not a doctor and just a lawyer. His determinations are just opinions, and carries no fact-based analysis. The consultation was not a consultation, but rather than him dominating the conversation and making it seem like I was out to get money. If you want to feel belittled while you are trying to discuss claim options (and constantly being cut-off) then this is the lawyer for you.

When I got behind on my mortgage, I contacted my mortgage company because I knew I was in trouble and I naively thought they were going to work with me. They were, however, completely uninterested in helping me. After I made multiple attempts to contact them, they began the foreclosure process against me. When I started receiving legal notices, I contacted Mr. Hoffman. He very clearly explained my options and what would happen if we proceeded with each option. After some discussion, I told him what I wanted to happen. He made sure that was exactly what did happen. He kept me informed and advised me each step of the way, always making my options clear. I only made one court appearance and watched him work. He is incredibly knowledgeable and skillful. I would not want to be on the other side of the courtroom from him! In the end, I walked away from the house and owed nothing, which is what I wanted to happen. Mr. Hoffman helped me hold the line against the ruthless and marginally legal practices of my mortgage holder. Do not trust any mortgage company that starts proceedings again you. They are not trying to help you, no matter what they say. I trusted Martin Hoffman. It is the best choice I could have made! Let me start by saying Mr. Martin Hoffman knows his stuff! Obtaining disability benefits is a long and drawn out process but Mr. Hoffman's approach to paperwork and his reliability makes it so much less painful. He takes the time to guide you step by step through the process and every step of the way, he's always there if you have any questions. He also speaks on your behalf from start to finish, where as other attorneys will leave you to deal with what feels like endless phone calls from Social Security. Not Mr. Hoffman! I barely had to speak to anyone on the phone myself, as he and his staff did all of that for me. Being disabled this was a huge burden off my back. He made the entire process as stress free as possible and I would 100% recommend him to anyone who needs Social Security benefits in a timely manner. He WILL fight for you!
