Thomas Luka has to be the worse lawyer I have ever encountered.

Please do not spend any money retaining Thomas Luka. It is no exaggeration at all to say it was the worse experience in the world. My fiancee retained him after his very first meeting with Luka. He left the meeting feeling confident. Luka seemed very professional and he acted like he truly wanted to help my fiancee. Right after paying the downpayment (before trial fees) everything changed. He wouldn't respond to any calls or text. When he would finally text or call back about the case he would be sarcastic and rude, as if we were bothering him. After months of dealing with this my fiancee decided he would look into retaining another lawyer. Not being sure how that worked, he called Luka and asked him, if he decided to go with another lawyer would he get any of his money back, Luka responded saying no, which was fine, then he told my fiancee that if he wanted to he could sue my fiancee. After that, Luka calls my fiancee randomly saying he missed court and there's a warrant for his arrest. My fiancee then asked him why he wasn't told there was a court date coming and if there's anyway to fix this. Luka laughs at him and says that he is no longer his lawyer so my fiancee would have to "figure it out". My fiancee asked him how he could just pull out of his case and Luka tells my fiancee that the call about money back was to fire him so he withdrew from the case. After arguing with him he finally says fine, if my fiancee finds all the receipts of payments he would help, if not my fiancee would have to give him 2,000 more to work on his case again. (We have all the text messages of this day) Finally we decided to call the main office and get copies of the receipts sent to Luka. Luckily the main office keeps receipts because Luka does not. Most payments were in cash because Luka said cash was easier. Fast forward to witness statements, while all my fiancees witnesses were giving their statements to the state prosecutor, Luka falls asleep and is snoring in the room! There is so much more that happened during this time with Luka, but this is some of the worse. BEWARE OF LAWYERS LIKE THIS! He also forged my fiancees name on a document and we are bringing all the proof to the Bar to report him. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Thomas recently successfully handled an important case for me. We met, discussed the facts and he proceeded based on my expectations. During the process I kept in touch, sometimes I had to wait a bit for an update, but he is a lawyer that is busy so I exercised some patience. At the end, I was very pleased with the results. In addition, while he was handling my original case, I retained him for another case and he was happy to advise me of my options. I would recommend him to anyone who wishes to use his service.
