Hugh's the man when it comes to criminal cases! I got a DUI back in July and this was my first time ever in trouble with the law. I decided to go with Hugh immediately after our consultation. He managed to get 2/3 of the charges dropped while reducing my DUI from enhanced to regular. He also kept me cool and level headed during a very stressful few months. Anytime I called he always had answers or results to show how my case was going. He got me the best deal you could ever imagine and I couldn't have been happier with him! If I ever have another problem or know someone who needs a lawyer, I'm calling Hugh ASAP! He knows the system in and out. As long as he's practicing he's my "permanent" attorney!

Hugh was very easy to talk to and up front about the process and what was expected from step one all the way through the entire process. Would definitely recomend him and his practice to others.

I was charged with Conspiracy to Traffic Cocaine in excess of 400grams that carries a 15years minimum and 50k fine if found guilty. It was an interesting set of circumstances but through everything, Hugh did a wonderful job keeping me informed on what his strategy was and executing his plan just as he said he would. I ended up only getting 2.5yrs probation and adjudication withheld on a lesser* F3 charge. I highly recommend Hugh McDonnell.

First let me start by saying this was a very scary time in my life as my freedom hung in the balance from the judicial system in Orlando, Florida. I was on probation from an offense that took place 2 years prior and was accused of Violating the probation I was on. I live in Houston Texas and do not even reside in Florida where this event happened. I had no idea who to contact in Florida and had hired another attorney from a totally different law firm to help me. That attorney I ended up firing due to lack of effort and proffesionalism. So you can imagine how crazy that was to be starting from scratch. I found Mr. McDonnell and not only was He 10 times above and beyond the previous attorney. He was able to have the courts dismiss the whole violation against me (and they wanted me to do 9 months in jail) Mr McDonnell got it DISMISED! He is straight forward He is on time He is very detailed He will stay in contact with you and call you right back. When you need Him. He will guide you through the process even while you are scared to death. I am so very happy we found Mr. McDonnell and I would highly recommend Him to whoever is reading this. I will never be back to Florida again but if I ever have a challenge that requires assistance in Florida and need a kick ass attorney. Trust me I'm calling Mr. McDonnell

I had a civil issue that Mr McDonnell handled for me so quickly, it was over before it got started. Aside from his professionalism, Mr McDonnell happens to be one of the nicest human beings I’ve ever come into contact with! This is the worse lawyer I've ever met or encountered in my life. You would think that his age means experience but he uses this to persuade you to hire but in the end he only cares about taking your money. He tell's you what you want to hear he even told me he could get the charges dropped without even seeing the affidavit, history, or no true knowledge of the case. This was a red flag from the first day I met the guy but the "experience " he supposedly had convinced me to hire the guy. He also charged me $3500 for a case that over 5 lawyers I spoke with quoted me no more than $2500. He made me to believe that he was the most expensive because he had the experience that others didn't. His experience turned out to be a con for money that not all people have to throw away. He has major health issues and at times didn't even remember who I was when I called. All he would say instead of admitting to his actions is that "he can withdraw from council if I'm not satisfied". This is after I had already given him over $2250. Long story short do not hire this person. He will lead you on and once you hire him will turn into a whole different person. Again I say, this is the worse lawyer I've ever encountered. If you hire him you're setting yourself up for major dissapointment and pretty much asking to be robbed of your hard earned money.
