It has been a pleasure to work with Doug through this journey we started when we sold our house. In the processing of the title and the deed paperwork, Doug discovered a monumental error that took a couple of months to resolve. Without his support, we do not think we would have closed for another 2 or 3 months. Doug started a relentless pursuit of a solution to this problem and was able to step in and redirect the efforts of other organizations to resolve the issues. For Doug it has always been the end state: closing on the sale of the house and as soon as possible. To that end, Doug did things anyone else would have said "not my job". He finally got us to close by the deadline and if the culprits of this error had better cooperated and be more competents at their job, we are certain that we would have closed way before the deadline. Everything that Doug did seemed effortless, when we know it caused him late nights and many emails and phonecalls no matter what the demands on him were. Rreviewing what Doug has accomplished, one can readily notice his ability to do all this while being couteous, respectful, understanding, helpful, stiring the wheel without others noticing it, calm, thorough, accurate, and much more. I would not willingly select The Closing Agent for my next real estate closing. Numerous errors have come to light after the closing and I am very concerned that the worst is not behind us. At a time when we should be enjoying our home we are shuffling funds around and updating misinformation that was caused by The Closing Agent. We paid for a service that was not done accurately.

If you're buying a home or property in FL, RUN (don't walk) to Barry and his team. ! What did he do to deliver such a good experience? • Responded immediately to our need for legal counsel - Another attorney’s firm was to busy and quite dismissive. She referred us to another attorney. - That second referral took two days to respond. We were on an incredibly short timeframe for the property. - Barry jumped on the situation IMMEDIATELY. • Identified all issues and mistakes made by our RE agent as well as the listing agent and the seller’s counsel • Attention to details was incredible and well organized. • Pushed back on the title attorney/partner who said that “this was the way things were done in our county,” on several points • Barry held firm and title company complied. • Pushed back on points that did not protect us the buyer on other points (we got acceptance of his requests) • Caught charges that were not necessary for the title company to post. • Worked on catching and correcting title company errors right to the point of 2 hours before closing. • Helped us understand/know what to double check AGAIN at time of signing. Yes, we caught one last thing which the title company corrected at time of signing. Barry Miller was more than on his game, as was his entire team. They were professional, friendly, and comfortable to work with at all times. If Barry wasn’t available when we had a question, another team member was up on the case to address or was able to quickly and accurately respond. Based on our experience, I highly recommend Barry Miller and his company, Barry Miller Law to anyone purchasing property or a home in FL.
