I recently violated my probation and Mrs. Travis was able to get my probation reinstated in 27 days which was a miracle in itself when the waiting periods are usually over a month. My first experience in life with hiring an attorney was TERRIBLE. I felt that he was cold, distant and really didn’t care about my case or preventing me from having a criminal record, but just about a paycheck. Jessica changed my generalized opinion about attorneys. I inquired on her website, she called me moments later. She discussed my situation and provided me with an abundance of helpful information. When we finally met regarding my situation, I felt that she truly cared about resolving my situation and understood the position I was in. Case by case results will vary, but feeling that your attorney fought as aggressively as possible on your behalf is important. I am looking forward to working with her and will update my review upon the conclusion of my situation.

I was very pleased with Ms. Travis the moment I sat down with her for my consultation. I had been to two attorneys before her and was disappointed with both. Ms. Travis started taking notes as soon as we began talking. She also seemed to care about my pets, I had to leave behind, and that was very important.. I hired Jessica when I was charged with crimes of domestic violence that I did not commit. Jessica worked tirelessly on my case and consulted with me often on ways to go about best representing me and my interests. I knew this matter was going to trial and knew that I could trust Jessica to prepare for same and she did. She is an impressive attorney and I highly recommend her services if you are ever charged with a crime.

I retained Jessica Travis for an injunction petition that I was pursuing. I knew my case would be difficult to prove however Jessica assured me that I had strong evidence. During preparation for my case, Jessica advised that certain documents would be helpful only to advise the week of the final hearing that the same documents would not be admissable in court. After I retained her, she called late (15-20 minutes) for every phone consultation and once did not bother to call at all at our scheduled meeting time. Communication via email was poor as well. She ignored questions that I asked or did not acknowledge emails unless I called to ask for confirmation that they were received. The only email that she responded to promptly was when there was an opportunity to charge additional money. At the hearing, I noticed her browsing Facebook on her cell phone while we waited to be called. During my testimony, I felt she steered me in a direction that ultimately hurt my case. Most of the questions Jessica coached me on, the judge decided were irrelevant, and the ruling was not in my favor. I did learn after retaining Jessica that she typically represents Respondents, not Petitioners in my particular legal matter and therefore I believe her lack of experience contributed to my results. After the case, she advised that she would provide a referral for a Family Law attorney, which she never did. Based on my personal experience, I would not recommend Jessica Travis.
