Dear Potential Client, I wish I could provide a positive review; however, my experience with Jonathan Mills was quite the opposite. I am writing this letter in the hope of sparing others from the uncertainty, poor customer service, lack of professionalism, and insufficient communication that I encountered. Despite reading many positive reviews, my experience was disappointing. Jonathan Mills sent a letter to my friend, who was incarcerated for a crime he did not commit and had proof of his innocence. My friend had been in jail for over six months and asked me to contact Jonathan. The letter from Jonathan offered a free consultation. I called, hired him, and paid an initial $1,500, followed by monthly payments of $500. We requested that Jonathan visit the jail for the free consultation to speak with his client in person, as the client had important information and questions. Despite multiple calls, Jonathan only conducted a video consultation two weeks later, citing difficulties in visiting the Orange County Correctional Facility. This should have been disclosed upfront, allowing us to make an informed decision. The client specifically requested an in-person visit because video calls are monitored, but Jonathan refused. I also attempted to schedule an in-person meeting with Jonathan to discuss questions and concerns, but he did not respond to my calls or text messages. If you are looking for an attorney to represent yourself or a loved one, be warned that Jonathan Mills is not a reliable lawyer. He failed to return or acknowledge my texts, emails, or calls. Additionally, I requested that he not share any information with anyone outside of his client and myself, yet he took a call and provided information to someone I did not authorize. According to the Florida Bar Association, clients should expect their lawyer to be competent, diligent, communicative, and act with professional courtesy. Lawyers should provide candid advice, keep clients informed about their case, and uphold confidentiality. Jonathan Mills did not meet these expectations. He has taken our money, and now I must save up more to find a new attorney. I have filed a complaint with the Florida Bar Association. He is registered there. I hope this helps someone, as I wish I had known before wasting my time and money. My friend’s case was delayed because Jonathan did not fulfill his responsibilities.
