I was injured at work as a phlebotomist and Attorney Jeff Cohen made sure I knew my rights as an injured professional. The communication with him was open at all times. He made sure I received the treatments I needed when I could not before contacting them. He was so professional and empathetic. Workman's compensation is not what I envisioned. I believed it was set up to help injured workers, which is true, but it is also set up to protect the employer. It quickly turns into a situation where you are told one thing by one person and something by someone else. I wish I had contacted my attorney long before I did because I did not have someone on my side until I had them. Employers have attorneys and a whole team telling them what to do to protect them, and you can quickly go from employee of the month to unemployed without counsel.
