About 22 years ago I was referred to Florin and Roebig. Will's brother Wolfgang handled my case. I was a passenger in a vehicle that had an old lady turn illegally in front of us and hit us head on. That case dragged on, and in the meantime I was rear ended by a drunk driver on July 4th, and rear ended again on US 19. Welcome to Florida. That's why the best job here is being a PIP Attorney. Easy money. I had over a hundred thousand dollars of doctor bills, and the doctors told me that I now had the body of a 40 year old, and by 40 I'd have the body of a 70 year old. Now I'm 42, and they were right. Multiple times my injuries have cost me my career. Oh wait, lets go back to the first accident that made me miss so much school that they tried to fail me, after being an Honors Student with perfect attendance my entire academic career. I appealed before the school board with all my doctor documentation and they let me walk with my class and even graduate with honors; however, I lost all my academic scholarships. Well I didn't come from wealthy parents or have a big brother to give me a high paying easy money job. I had to earn it from the bottom up. So going forward I lost two jobs due to my injuries. They have dramatically changed the course of my life, and I live in constant pain. That kind of stuff turns a sweet person sour. The knife that twists inside me every night I sleep is how Wolfgang told me they didn't feel confident taking my case to court because I was a teenager and the general public in Florida were old people. It was old people that hit me each of those times. So the Florin brothers talked me out of going to court. The whole reason I chose them was because they boasted about how good they were in court. Now here they are telling me they are afraid to go to court over an age difference between the me the at fault parties. Long story short, the Florin firm walked away with $45,000 out of that deal, and I still had over a hundred thousand dollars in medical bills. Wolfgang said they felt sorry for me, so they were cutting me a check for $500 our of their $45k that took them a total of maybe 40 hours of man hours to steal, I mean make. If it weren't for the unethical ways of PIP attorneys, I'd have my son go to school to be one because of the easy money down here. Fyi people, I have talked to other attorneys that get off on going to court and only charge their clients 30%. Too bad my Daddy wasn't rich and well educated like some folks. Maybe then as the child I was at the time I would have had someone looking out for my best interest, because these guys sure DID NOT! What prompted me to write this review 22 years later of a pain forsaken life was the fact I had another nightmare about it last night. How they just burned me after I trusted them. All these years later. I live with pain and have to budget money every month to go to the doctors for pain relief. Do yourself a favor, and find someone that actually cares about you at least as much as they do their own wallet. I'm sure they chickened out of taking my case to court in fear they would lose because they really aren't that good. They only want to take "Slam Dunk" cases to court as they told me. I realize now that to keep their score up high in order to fool others into thinking their great at it. Just because mine was tricky, they chickened out and sold me out, rather than tell me they weren't cut out for the job and I should look elsewhere. Oh, I almost forgot! Before the settlement they had their other brother come over my parents house that was getting into Financial Planning. So they were already trying to get a piece of what I didn't even have. I wasn't planning on getting rich. I just wanted money to pay for the ongoing life long medical attention I would and DO need. Now that I'm older and wiser I am well aware that we don't need "Financial Planners" dipping their hands into our retirement funds just to build up their own residual income book. The Florin brothers... they'll pick your front pockets, and the back.
