I ended up in emergency surgery after I was hit by a car while riding my mountain bike in a city park in Fort Lauderdale, FL on a Sunday morning at 9am. My right wrist and hand had bones sticking through the skin and the surgeon considered amputating my right hand but thankfully he was able to save it and I can use it for the most part. My surgeon recommended me hiring an attorney that I could trust because I would require more surgeries on my wrist and hand along with several months of occupational and physical therapy and he said someone would need to pay for all of this. After speaking with a high school friend that still lives in Panama City about my condition and what my surgeon had said he recommended me calling Doug Dykes. Today, I’m very thankful that I listened to both my surgeon and my high school friend. Once I spoke with Doug over the phone and explained what had happened to me, where I was, and what my surgeon had told me Doug was very patient while he explained what my options were and how he would address each issue, if I decided to use his law office. I am very pleased with the results and outcomes of my case and how Doug and his staff handled each and every aspect of my case. Doug and his staff were able to negotiate with between Geico, USAA, Humana-Tricare, the hospital, and various doctors’ offices between Fort Lauderdale, Tampa, and Jacksonville about who was going to cover what. This allowed me to focus on therapy and getting back to my normal life. Hopefully, I will never need a personal injury attorney again but if I ever do or if someone asks me for my advice; I will definitely refer them to Doug Dykes.

My case was being handled by Dawn. She lost "misplaced" my documentation THREE times and all with PERSONAL INFORMATION on those documents. She NEVER emailed me on my case unless I emailed her FIRST. And after TWO YEARS of waiting for an answer to my claim, I was denied. I did 99% of the work myself and the only time I heard from the Partners of the firm is when I terminated my relationship with them. I would never recommend this firm to anyone.
