Highly recommended. Prior to reaching out to Douglas Law Firm I had little to no knowledge outside of a brief glance at internet reviews and their own bio outlines and practice summary listed on their website of how any of their staff behaved or of their legal track record. After a friendly conversation with office staff which responded promptly to my request for a consultation, I received a phone call directly from Attorney Mr. Jacob McCrea. He was happy to hear out my point of view and my entire story of the legal situation I was in, he then answered any questions I had about information he provided me and quickly expressed clear confidence and realistic expectations for my case. All in all, after my case has concluded I cannot express enough in this review my appreciation to Mr. McCrea, his legal assistant, and all of the staff at Douglas Law Firm that I interacted with for their patience, friendliness, professionalism, honesty, prompt responses to my communications, and finally their abilities as a law firm. I am happy to have met and worked with Mr. McCrea and will look to his office and staff if I ever again need any legal advice or assistance.

I would like to start off by saying that Jacob and his team was there for my son from the beginning to the end! Jacob is professional, astute in his practice of law. We named him the Bull! Why? Because if you want someone in your court to fight, he is the guy! He doesn't play around. My son had a very difficult case, and they were able to get the charge dropped with some stipulations. It was hard work on both sides, but at the end of the day, I knew I was in good hands. Trust and do what they say! Best of luck for much success! Hope we never run paths again but only in the grocery store :)

Jacob went out of his way to help me quickly and affordably settle a contract dispute. He was very honest, fair, and transparent with his fees. He also went out of his way to work things out in an affordable manner. For a complete outsider, the language of law and contracts can be daunting to try and understand. Thankfully, Jacob broke everything down simply, and made sure I was able to understand exactly what was happening, without compounding my stress by adding any unnecessary confusion. I'm glad I was able to get a hold of him and can confidently recommend him to anyone.

Jacob took on a landlord/lease case for us and was excellent during the entire process. He came up with an out of the box idea that worked well and we received nearly all of our money back that the landlord was illegally holding from us. Very clear, thoughtful, articulate and persistent, we prevailed without even having to go to trial. Great work Jacob!

We met with Jacob last Dec. regarding a matter that was very troubling, and upsetting. Jacob was very open and understanding regarding our issue, he presented a sound legal plan of action to resolve the matter. We felt comfortable with his approach and how he cared about our needs in line with the law. We would highly recommend anyone needing legal help in the areas he practices to contact him first!

Words cannot express how grateful we were for Mr. McRae representing us against a hospitals false claims of child neglect. He immediately took the case to defend us when allegations were made in a Friday evening and we were removed from the hospital with no notice. Over the next few weeks he spent an enormous amount of time on our case, working tirelessly to clear our name and to reunite us with our son. Not only was he able to have all the alleviation’s dismissed by the judge for lacking probable cause, he was also able to have the DCF investigator admit that the allegations against us were fraudulent while under oath. I would highly recommend Mr. McRae to anyone needing representation, regardless of the reason.

In January of 2020 my husband was arrested for a DUI and I was referred to Jacob by a coworker the next morning. He immediately got to work, arriving at the courthouse that morning for my husband's arraignment. We had an in-person meeting soon after. I knew nothing about this process as neither I nor my husband had ever been in any type of trouble, but he walked us through everything clearly, professionally, and with empathy. He gave us honest answers about worst and best case scenarios, and advised us on everything we needed to do. My husband's charge was decreased to reckless driving. I would recommend Jacob wholeheartedly to anyone requiring legal services.

Mr. McCrea was attentive and proactive while navigating DUI and illegal possession of narcotics charges. The outcome of my case took into consideration the totality of the circumstances and Mr. McCrea was able to convince the prosecutor of my innocence without putting me through the emotional and financial hardship that would have resulted from going to trial.

In January of 2020, I was arrested for DUI. I had never been in any sort of legal trouble, and had absolutely no idea what to do upon arrest or during my first appearance. Luckily my wife had spoken with Jacob upon referral. Jacob appeared on my behalf and set my arraignment with the judge during my first appearance before the court. Prior to arraignment, Jacob met with me and outlined a strategy for my defense. Jacob built a strong case and guided me through the process of gathering documentation to use as mitigation. Jacob was extremely persistent in communicating with the State Attorney's Office and successful in requesting that they entertain a plea deal of Reckless Driving. As the SAO reviewed the case, Jacob also guided me through the process of obtaining my "Business Purpose" license so that I could remain employed and maintain my quality of life after my driver's license was suspended. Following a few rounds of discussion with the SAO, Jacob was successful in negotiating my case down to a plea of reckless driving (the best possible outcome, from my perspective). I am extremely grateful for Jacob's representation during this ordeal, and am 100% confident that it was his persistence and strategic guidance that allowed for successful resolution of the case. I am thoroughly impressed by Jacob's understanding of the law and his invaluable perspective as a former prosecutor. On a personal level I have a great deal of respect for Jacob as a veteran, and as someone who genuinely cares about justice being carried out fairly and equitably. I cannot recommend Jacob highly enough! [This may not be applicable to all, but it is worth noting that Jacob remained committed, in close contact, and continued to navigate my case with me during the COVID-19 Pandemic amidst court closures and other unprecedented situations.]
