This program , the Law Firm, the Attorney’s, and everything they do for our community and the people of our community is absolutely amazing! My attorney Mr Brooks Fusselman and his associates helped me through a major crisis I was facing with an elderly landlord who didn’t even live in this country. This landlord tried to put me and my very young child on the street. The “Property Manager” is her alcoholic tenant who dwells downstairs from the house I leased for 12 months. He doesn’t like the noise of a child running down the hallway, or his bath time, etc.. therefore I was considered a “noise problem”.
Once Mr Brooks and the very generous people of Community Law Program took my case and started looking into the eviction process…they immediately took legal action to protect me and my child, giving me extra time to prepare for our sudden move and a new place to call home.. I could not have done this if it wasn’t for the kind hearted people at Community Law Program.
Thanks again to all of you.

I called here to get some help and everybody who I spoke to was so rude. Bryan was the main person that I talk to and he was so unhelpful and so short with me and gave me absolutely zero information that was helpful. Do not at all recommend this place. Not even entirely sure what they’re good for.

When called, they say they don't have resources to represent for nearly anything. They don't have any help for tenant issues.

Kim and Lynn are amazing resources. The whole staff is passionate and dedicated to helping those who can't afford legal representation. Community Law Program is a nonprofit that is funded solely with grants and donations, and the grants limit who qualifies for legal aid.

Takes a while to get the free legal advice one-time call and when you do they're rude, apathetic and talk over you. Lynn Hanshaw was the woman who called me.

What a waste of time. I contacted them for help with a shady landlord. I told them that I wanted to stay of course and what my options were. What they recommended was help from others with no help from them. They didn't even ask me about my situation just told me what I should do. So I'm trying to figure out what type of help they provide?? Because I wasn't provided with any help and then I was dismissed from the program saying there is nothing more they can do when they didn't do anything!!! Aiden recommended a place to help financially and Dremma recommended 211 all resources that I already know. I needed help from a lawyer and instead got nothing!!!

I Thank Yah for the work Pinellas County Community Law is putting in to help those in need. I had lost my job this year due to COVID-19's impact on my previous employer and going out of business. My Apt complex agreed to accept rental assistance and after a change in ownership even though they also agreed to accept the assistance they decided to evict me. The fight was on and with the help of Community Law and Dremma one of the attorneys on staff I was able to meditate and stay in the apartments. Let me tell you that it came down to the wire and I had to file an emergency motion to Stay which resulted in mediation. I suggest everyone save their communication with their landlord in writing. I believe that if it wasn't for the evidence I had and the help of Dremma I would have been homeless. All the glory to Yahuah for this victory 🙌🏼

I didn't know what I was going to do .I felt trapped in a hamster wheel trying to catch up on rent. I fell ill and then fell behind. Due to pandemic, I already had reduced pay and hours. Living check to check is scary and being homeless is worse. I was so relieved to hear Community Law program was able to help in a near hopeless situation. The staff is professional, efficient and empathetic to my situation. In addition the process is remote and convenient yet thorough. The Community Law program given me the boost I needed to get back on track. Blessings come in many ways. Community Law program were my angels. Thank you for everything you do for the community!

Community Law Program and the Amendment 4 Project has successfully assisted those with prior convictions get their voting rights back. This is such important work, and CLP is doing a wonderful job helping people who need legal assistance. All of the attorneys and organization members have been extremely helpful and easy to work with during my time with CLP.
