This is a letter that I have sent to my friends,
About nine months ago the IRS showed up at my door saying I owed them $60,000 dollars! So I hired a tax lawyer here in St.Pete named B.Gray Gibbs I wanted him to look into this matter to make sure that I actually did owe the money and it was not from moving my IRA and portfolio from one broker to another, he was recommend by two lawyers and my girlfriend a former paralegal, and lifetime resident as the best tax lawyer in town. After giving him $750 as a retainer I basically never heard from him, and every time I went to see him I felt like he was not prepared to see me and he would find my file somewhere in his office, blow the dust off it and take a look inside. I never received emails of any substance from him so I assumed that things were moving along. Well on August 24th I go to the bank to take out $100 dollars and there is only 22 cents! It seems that Steve Berkheimer the IRS agent had been trying to get in touch with my lawyer, but Gray never returned his phone calls, so the IRS garnishes all the money in my savings and checking account and freezes my investment portfolio. So, I have no money to pay my bills, mortgage etc.
Well my lawyer still did as little as possible, I felt like he just didn't care. I ended up having to call the IRS agent and getting everything handled myself which took about two plus weeks to get my money opened back up. The stress of all this gave me Shingles, and they are as bad as everyone says. Of course a doctor visit and $100.00 for drugs. Plus being on Vicaden for pain, I'm starting to feel like my old self finally.
But the worse part is, I was staying with my girlfriend while I was sick and she got Chicken Pox! at the age of 47 and she still does not feel right. Thank god she recommend this lawyer or I would never hear the end of it :) Oh: and he also just sent me another bill for his so called work for $490 !
