I am extremely disappointed with the service (or lack thereof) I received from this firm. Initially, I was very relieved to have been recommended to them from a family friend after my father’s passing because they seemed so concerned and helpful with certain information. I first met with them at the end of August and have been in communication with them almost solely via email since then with a few phone calls sprinkled in. I have been told several times that I will be sent paperwork to sign, invoices, and updates on the status of my father’s estate and have received very little other than they would get back to me shortly and to remain patient. At this point, I don’t even think they’ve begun to start work on my case after I’ve given everything that was asked of me and repeatedly asked if there is anything else I can do. As a final attempt to give them the benefit of the doubt, I reached out via email a week ago AGAIN to ask politely if they have any intentions on helping me with my case and I have received no response. So not only am I dealing with the loss of my father but I’m also dealing with a law firm who clearly is not prioritizing me or my business for whatever reason. I mistakenly continued to trust their word that they would get back to me and wasted two months that I could’ve spent actually working on this process that takes many months. Instead of being honest about not wanting the case or maybe being too busy to take me on as a client right now, they strung me along. So shame on them and I hope everyone sees this so I can save someone else the same negative experience I have had.

Working with Mr. Hoonhout, and Hoonhout Law is always an exceptional experience. They are timely, thorough, knowledgeable, and just a very kind and incredible group to work with. I can't count the number of families we've had the opportunity to help together, and each time the sentiment is the same, "Eric was just so helpful, he made me feel like I could ask any question and that I was a priority", after just under a decade of working together, I couldn't value a resource for this community more than this firm.
