Had a great experience with this firm! Not only was the staff helpful, but Joe Gufford took the time to explain my legal issue to me in a way that I could understand it. He gave me several alternatives to tackle the issue and made me feel like I had choices and options. He clearly knew the law and how to handle my issue quickly and without dragging it out (which would have cost me a lot of money). I really felt like he cared about what happed to my family. His rates were fair and worth every penny! Will definitely hire in the future!

Joe and his paralegals are not on the same page. During my divorce I was told I wouldn’t have alimony and in the slight chance I did it would be temporary. Got to mediation and was told lifetime alimony , and joe wasn’t in good standings with the judge that was appointed to my case. Joe was more expensive then the Gorman office and they took joe to school, along with me to the cleaners.

I have used Joe Gufford for a number of legal matters, to include business legal services, civil litigation and family law since 2002. In each case, Joe has proven to be extremely competent in the law and very effective in the court room. He is an aggressive litigator and will present the best arguments possible in court. He is honest and ethical in his representation of you and your case. He will give a reasonable idea of what you can and should expect the out come of you case to be. Should you have a matter outside his scope of practice, he will refer you to another attorney whom you can be assured will handle your case to his standards. I have found his office staff to be efficient, courteous and very caring. Should you ever have a need for representation in a Family Law, business, or civil litigation matter I would highly recommend consulting Joe Guford.

Joseph Gufford and his staff have represented me in numerous civil cases and family law matters for the over a decade. In the civil cases, Mr. Gufford was instrumental in achieving victory after victory against some of biggest firms in Martin County. His knowledge of the law is extraordinary and his staff always follows up on phone calls and emails in a timely manner. In one of the family law matters, one case involved an undisclosed professional sports pension that my previous counsel failed to discover. Once again, Mr. Gufford rose to the occasion and filed a motion to set aside the final judgment based upon the non-disclosure of this very significant asset. If you know anything about this issue, it is extremely difficult to set aside a Final Judgment. Mr. Gufford was ultimately victorious in this task and I am forever grateful to him and his awesome staff.

Horrible experience with my divorce case. He gave me some wrong information that was then used against me in court by the judge. He did not have a good rapport with the judge. I had to fire him mid trial and ask for a continuance to find a competent attorney. My new attorney couldn’t understand how much money I spent when absolutely no work was done on my case. The attorney actually said they would do their best to clean up his mess but since we were already in trial he did not have enough time to fix the damage that he had done. Don’t waste your time and money here he ruined my life.
