Joe Gufford and his staff are by far, one of the top firms in South Florida. I have never dealt with a legal matter that required an attorney prior to hiring his firm. He and his staff covered every detail, returned every call in a timely manner and was ahead of schedule on every item. Their competence and reputation is world class! Typically I am not one to make recommendations, as I have been burned before for doing so. However, based on my own personal experience with he and his staff, I truly believe that The Gufford Law Firm will meet or exceed your expectations.

I have had the privilege of first hand knowledge of the exceptional legal work performed by Attorney Joe Gufford. He is an excellent communicator and is very respectful of his clients. Mr. Gufford is respectful and a bulldog at the same time in the court and in dealing with opposing counsel. He is not afraid to take on really difficult cases and will go above and beyond in fighting for his clients. I highly recommend Mr. Gufford. He is definitely stands out above the rest in his fields of expertise.

I have hesitated to write a review because my experience was so terrible. The retainer that Mr Gufford got from me in a moment of extreme pain and vulnerability was outrageous. I ended up losing the entire value of my retainer and moving on to another lawyer who I could trust and have confidence in to handle my case appropriately. It was the best decision I could have possibly have made.

I had a terrible experience with Joe Gufford in my divorce case. He did nothing but take my retainer, run up a ridiculous bill, accomplish nothing then demand more money. His staff was rude and unhelpful and he was never available when I needed him. I have had no less that six attorneys work for me over the last two years in various personal and corporate cases with fine results. I suggest seeking other legal help as there are plenty of other attorneys in Stuart that can make a positive difference for your case. It is my belief that the other review here is from Mr. Gufford himself or a staff member as it definitely is not from a client...
