This experience has two parts. One was a very hard thing to go through but the other part was having a professional and attentive team of people looking out for me when I had no clue about many things coming my way. They gave me advice but did not try to sway me in any direction. From our initial consultation to the ending in mediation, I can not speak any higher of a business than I am today. If you want a firm that is fair, honest, attentive and assertive, I would not go any other place. Meet with them and you will see in the end that they will not let you get taken advantage of and they will be there for you after things are done months and months after things are settled when you have questions. This divorce drained me but this firm absorbed much of the worry I had by staying in contact and assuring me that my interest was theirs to take to heart. They took care of me and my worries.

Divorce, something that is extremely difficult. That is until I met Ms. Trusik. I had know ideal how I was going to navigate this process. Let me speak a little about my experience with Ms. Trusik. Not many people can say their divorce was one of the best experiences of their life; but I can! Divorces are scary, overwhelming, and intimidating. Not only did Alenna ease all of my insecurities, we laughed, cut up, and found humor in every situation we possibly could. Even during some of the worst times, I never felt alone or anxious. The woman knows her stuff

Divorces are emotional roller coasters that even the most astute struggle with. Folks rely on an attorney, in most cases a complete stranger, to have their best interest at heart while helping them navigate the murky waters that is the legal system. Add to that the unique intricacies surrounding LGBTQ family law, a relatively new area of legal practice that not all are on board with, and the hunt for an attorney begins to transition from intimidating to terrifying. What a breath of fresh air Ms. Trusik was. She was warm, open, and understanding from the first phone call. She didn’t even blink an eye when informed it was a same sex divorce. She was more focused on my end goal; reaching an agreement both parties could live with, and getting the situation resolved as soon as possible. And boy did she have her work cut out for her on this one! Ms. Trusik was able to find and build upon the smallest of middle ground, allowing us to settle without the lengthy courtroom battle that seemed unavoidable. She kept me informed of progress and any changes, was very straight forward about what to expect, always responsive and patient, was in no way intimidated by the task at hand, and firmly stood her ground every time it was challenged. Maybe just another day at the office for her, but a miracle of sorts for me.
