Attorney Liebenhaut went above and beyond for me in my time of need. He helped me win my disability case and also helped me resolve another legal issue, pro bono. Obtaining disability benefits from the Social Security Administration can be exceedingly complicated and challenging. Matthew Liebenhaut and his amazing staff assisted me in filing for Social Security Disability and throughout the entire process, which is long and arduous. They took care of everything regarding same. Because of my social situation, they also extended courtesies to me, above and beyond those anyone could expect, acting fully as my representatives in every capacity. If I had concerns, which I did on a few occasions, my calls were promptly, sometimes immediately returned. When my telephone broke or other issues, they intervened on my behalf. They walked me through what SS needed from me, assisted me in obtaining it and, because I had mobility issues, even made alternative arrangements for me. Every step of the way, they were knowledgeable, professional, decent, empathetic, diligent, and kind. When I was overwhelmed or confused, they took the time to address my concerns and to explain, or re-explain the process. On my end, it made it as seamless and as painless as it could be. They alleviated my fears following denials. They let me know general things to expect at the judge's hearing. They simply were with me every step of the way. I cannot thank them enough. I originally reached out to Mr. Liebenhaut and his team for help with a disability claim. Social Security had been denying me for years and I had no clue how to navigate through all of their rules and guidelines. Within a year a judge awarded me not only my monthly amounts…but my back pay as well. I could not have accomplished this without them! Recently, I received notice from Social Security that my payments would stop based on the value of a future inheritance that I may or may not receive. I followed the instructions of the letter, filing an appeal and providing any documents that I could locate to prove I had no access to this inheritance or any proceeds from it. Still…they denied me. Not knowing what else to do I reached out to Liebenhaut Law again. Mr. Liebenhaut contacted me personally and allowed me to explain my case. He immediately gathered information and contacted the probate attorney handling the inheritance directly; working with him to draft the necessary paperwork and sent it to to the person handling my case with the SSA. I am still awaiting a final decision. And Mr. Liebenhaut continues to reach out personally to check on the progress of things. But I wanted to leave this to let everyone know that I could not have asked for a more kind, patient, attentive and diligent team on my side. I was going through a very tough time after suffering a back injury that disabled me. I had lost everything, and I couldn’t find help anywhere, but then I called Matt Liebenhaut and he took charge and got the ball rolling before I was even off the phone with his people. They filed my SSDI appeal and stayed on the case the whole way. At the hearing Matt totally obliterated the so-called doctor expert.
