Are you kidding? The short statement that led into this public posting stated that you weren't sure if your representation had any effect on my life. I was driving for a long long time with no driver's license, compounding my problem repeatedly, when I would get arrested for dwls. I explained to the Sheriff's Office I explained to the judges, explain to everyone but nobody understood. And then Along Came Ben. I explained how I got into this position and the things that had happened as a result of me continuing to drive. I know I was in the wrong , to continue driving and breaking the law , but I own a small business and had to Drive , , at risk , hundreds of times , in order to keep my small business afloat, and my family fed. Ben found a way to explain it legally, and we straightened out the whole mess. I have been driving now, legally with my own license again, for about 2 years. Brilliant attorneys couldn't be happier

I had to get another attorney. I was afraid I would not get the best defense considering the difficulty I had in communicating with him and how the details of my case had been handled. The only direction given by him was to get character reference letters and something from a doctor about a medical issue pertaining to the case. On multiple occasions, I did not receive answers to emails for many days and sometimes at all. I purposely waited about a week to not bug him too much. Questions in emails were completely ignored. He told me that he sent me all the character reference letters that he received. Multiple character reference letters which were sent including one from my psychologist, and one from my boss (which talked specifically about an issue related to the case) are not in the file he sent. I had confirmations those emails were sent to him and not rejected. He asked me how long, conservatively, getting medical evaluations would take. I said 3 months because it is taking a long time getting these things accomplished. In court the judge seemed open about being asked for a longer time period before the next court date yet he told her that we can check in 45 days from that date. Each time I appeared in court it was anxiety producing and causing missed work. My new attorney told me I was not required to appear at all for all of the basic court dates. I asked several times for Ben to get a copy of a document that could possibly have had the case dismissed. He said he would. I never saw this document at all. In the end he claimed that he had seen the document and it would be irrelevant. There was no copy ever provided to me or in the my file. I cannot believe as an attorney he would not get a copy of a document that was important enough to have the client request it numerous times and important enough to go see. Because of these facts and conversations we had, I had continually felt that he had not placed enough serious importance on my case to get me the best outcome. I have paid him $5000 in a non-refundable contract. I would have appreciated some credit, in good faith, based on my perception of the work done and the work that no longer had to be done by him. I requested it but it was denied. I had no intention or desire to have to go spend more money on another attorney but I felt that it was what I had to do for my best interests. I would recommend using another attorney.
