My finalization hearing was today for the adoption of my grandson, and I can never thank them enough. Heart of Adoptions and Law Offices of Jeanne T. Tate, P.A. are AMAZING! I cannot say enough good things about their organization. From the beginning to the very end, everyone at HOA was quick to respond to every question or concern I had. Anytime I ever had issues, or just general inquiries, the attorney, Erica Healey, called me right away. Every staff member I dealt with was dedicated, supportive, and knowledgeable (Sue Eggert, Paula Thrasher, Crystal McWilliams, Shannon Howard-Lascari). Adoption can be an emotional roller coaster; however, they were always there for me and gave me peace of mind. I highly recommend HOA; they work with families all over the world, including birth parents, adoptive parents, foster care adoption, and grandparent adoption. They specialize in ADOPTION!

Rob helped us to finalize the adoption of our daughter. He was kind and calm and made us feel so comfortable for the hearing. We didn't know what to expect but his demeanor made us feel so comfortable! We can't thank you enough for making it such a smooth process for our finalization!!

I couldn't be happier with the services that I received. Some will say that law firms just want to take you money and not help or listen to your situation but that is not the case with Jeanne T. Tate office. They were very caring and understanding. I never had to jump through hoops to get in touch with them. Erica Healey was the attorney and Kim Lewis was the paralegal that took on my case. The entire staff was incredibly helpful and courteous. They were instrumental in helping me complete the adoption of my son, which had been a daunting prospect until we hired the services of Ms. Tate's firm. We are extremely grateful for their professionalism and expediency, which ultimately helped our family become whole.

I am an adult adoptee and needed family medical information. I had already figured out who my parents and birth families were though DNA testing and extensive research. Kim and Erica were able to be appointed intermediary, unseal the entire adoption record and case notes, obtain my original birth certificate, and death certificates with cause of death for both my biological parents. This was to confirm my research and see if there was any medical info in the files. I had them reach out to some maternal cousins who agreed to direct contact and we exchanged a lot of medical info and photographs. I have now requested they reach out to my paternal immediate family. I am happy I took this step and that I used this firm as recommended by an employee of the State of Florida. I highly recommend this firm.

live in the Orlando area and I chose Erica and Kim to help me with my sons adoption case. Long story short, I had raised my son for years as his stepmother but really wanted to become his legal mother, and since his Bio mom had not seen him in nearly 8 years I thought it would be a good time to go for custody. After researching many...and I do mean MANY lawyers to help with my case, I finally decided on Erica and Kim because they seemed to be both the most relatable and the most honest about what to expect from my case. They quoted me numbers and drew up contracts right away and never surprised me with any *hidden* fees. In my particular case the birth mom was originally not going to voluntarily sign over her rights, but after speaking with Erica she quickly changed her mind and Erica was quick to respond before she could change her mind. She even found a mobile notary to go directly to the birth moms home so that she didnt have time to go back and forth on her decision. Another FANTASTIC thing about Erica and Kim was that they answered my emails and phone calls almost immediately...I'm not sure if any of you have had to deal with lawyers before but if you have, then you know how uncommon it is to get a direct phone call that easily. From the day we filed paperwork to begin the process, to the day the judge signed the decree making me my sons legal mother, I believe almost exactly 4 months had gone by. And to be honest, it probably would've been sooner but in my particular case I had to get my old state to give Florida Jurisdiction for my case. Anyway, if you need a lawyer and you want results and REAL people who will actually talk to you and NOT treat you like a number then please consider hiring Erica and Kim. They are a great team and they gave me the outcome that I had been wanting for so many years. I will forever be grateful for them.

We reside in Wisconsin and needed to perform an interstate family adoption through the state of Florida. There was a lot of red tape to go through, and CPS was also involved. We had the adopted child living in our home within a week (other firms said it would be 6-12 weeks), and we had the adoption finalized within 2 months.
