In the course of my 3 year divorce, I have had the opportunity to have working relationships with quite a few law firms in the Tampa Bay area. I have had to go to court so often to defend myself against motions my ex-wife filed that , as a lay person, I probably have more court exposure than some lawyers do. You know you've spent too much time in hearings when you've gone to the top floor of the court house in downtown Tampa during recesses and you've been able to look at all the portraits of all the judges who ever served in Hillsborough county. Some of the lawyers I've dealt with were utter scum, some just wanted to suck you dry by keeping the case alive just to get the cash flow going, some were quite good. After my divorce languished in court for over two years with no sign of resolution, I hired Julia Chase and her team. Amazingly, under her guidance, the case finally gained traction and was brought to a very successful conclusion. Julia's performance in the final divorce hearings was quite impressive to say the least. She completely destroyed the credibility of my ex as well as that of her main witness, it was a pleasure to watch this epic performance. I believe Julia is a former assistant prosecutor, it showed. The final divorce document her team wrote is a master piece of eloquence which vindicated me completely after having been on the receiving end of no less than 22 motions to compel, numerous motions for discovery, requests from forensic accountants, interventions from guardians and psychologists with each accusation crazier than the preceding one over the last three years. The end result is that I won 50% custody for my 10 year old son over continued and persistent objections of my ex-wife. I was also able to get satisfaction over numerous other important issues. After having had such excellent legal help, one tends to rightfully judge quite harshly previous law firms who greatly suffer the conparison to Julia and her team
