I found Mr. Caveda while searching for top local attorneys in the Tampa area. After reading reviews and interviewing with many others, I decided to go with him. Mr. Caveda and his staff are nothing but professional and in the end, he gave me the opportunity to watch my son grow. If you’re a parent about to face a custody battle, I highly recommend him. This is the person you want in your corner during the most important battle of your life. Thank you David for everything you did for my son, myself and my family. I am eternally grateful and will always recommend you.

Tried to get in contact with this law firm twice and no one ever called me back. If you have urgent needs about a legal situation this is not the place for you, keep looking.

Edited 07/08/2020 Turns out, David is like most lawyers- when the money starts drying up, he disappears. Despite having said multiple times that he didn’t want to discuss money, and that he would let us know if it became an issue (after we expressed concern about rising costs and requested a payment plan), David disappeared and stopped working on my fiancé’s case, only reappearing to send a bill and a nasty email when he was asked if he was still in fact the attorney on this case. Then he waited another 5 weeks to finally file the order from a hearing he was supposed to file in January (6 months ago now), and did it the same day he sent a bill for and additional $1200, and a notice of withdrawal from the case. No explanation, just a see ya later. After selling us on how this case touched his heart and kept him up at night, I could not be more disappointed with David’s lack of integrity in his dealings with us. It was ROUTINE for calls and emails to go unanswered for several weeks, and towards the end was months. Maybe he’s got something personal going on, I don’t know, but this is a huge setback for our case and I do NOT recommend him. I am skeptical by nature. I don’t think anyone will work as hard for me as I will. But David Caveda will. So I’ve learned this about family law attorneys: everything in their job is an emergency. So no, he doesn’t always respond to emails as quickly as I’d like. But when it comes down to it, and I need him, I can get him on the phone, and then he does exactly what I pay him to do and then some. I’m learning to understand that sometimes he’s out taking care of other people’s emergencies, and he’s giving them the same attention he gives me. Also, I have dealt with a LOT of people who bill hourly in a LOT of different industries and I’ve never met anyone more fair with it than David. If anything, and I hate to say this because it’s ongoing, but he should bill us more. (I’m hoping he’ll appreciate this review enough to NOT take my above suggestion, lol.) But seriously, if you want someone who you can count on to care about your kids like you do and to treat you fairly, David is your guy.

If you’re looking for the best attorney to represent your case and level the playing field, David is by far the best! I hired David and his firm a little over 6 months ago when my last attorney complicated issues and wouldn’t act on the best interests of my son. The case was dragging on-and on-and on for what was way too long. The other attorney just simply racked up meaningless attorney fees and placed my son in danger. Not only did David fix all the issues previously encountered, and fast, he was able to get the entire case completed and settled in such a short time period, it’s amazing! By far, hire this firm if you want what’s best for your child. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

I don't think I could have chosen a better or more compassionate person to represent me during my divorce. Ms. Palma guided, advised, encouraged, and supported me every step of the way. Mr Caveda handled my divorce more than 10 yrs ago. He did a great job, communicated with me throughout the course of the divorce proceedings and kept his word to keep it at 3000 or so. I just called him 10 years after the fact because I could not find my divorce decree after so many years and more than a few moves. I contacted his office and with a half hour my call was returned and a copy emailed to me almost immediately. Great service all around .
