I had tried to do my own research and was coming up short on how to handle my problem (unknowingly driving a salvage-title vehicle without registration). I was using a chat feature to talk to a lawyer to get advice, which led to a call, which led to me hiring Higgins. He took care of everything, I didn’t even have to go to the hearings which was great since I work so many hours. My case was dismissed thanks to him even though I know my chances were pretty low with that happening. Highly recommend!!

I have hired Stephen Higgins for 5 traffic cases in the past 2 years. The first for a DUI which was reduced to reckless. The next 3 were for speeding, two of which were 30 miles per hour over the limit. He had them dismissed. The other speeding ticket was 15 mph over, and he the fine reduced from $256 to $176 and no points. The 5th case was for a DUI in August of 2019. I blew zeros and didn't have any drugs in my system. Today I finally had my hearing which was postponed due to COVID-19 and I am really pleased that he got the charge reduced to a careless driving ticket with only a $166 fine. I would highly recommend him as one of the best attorneys in the area.

Mr. Higgins represented my son in a speeding ticket. My son never had to attend court, Mr. Higgins took care of everything. My son ended up with a small fine and no points on his license. You can't expect better results than that when it is an offence you did commit.

I received a DUI while on vacation in FL. I contacted Stephen based on a referral from a lawyer in my home state. My case was complicated due to priors from a decade ago which caused our negotiating position with the state to be very, very far apart. My case continued to drag out for almost two years after a series of continuations from the state. Stephen reassured me to stay patient as he was continuing to work to resolve the case in my favor. He was very straightforward in explaining the pros and cons of going to trial and provided his personal recommendation based on the facts of my case, the judge and prosecutors involved and my past history. Late in the day on the eve of trial we agreed to a very positive settlement in my favor. I truly believe that with a less knowledgeable or less relentless lawyer that my outcome would have involved stiff penalties.
