I was appointed Ms. Garno to my Child Dependency case in Pinellas county. I had parted ways with my previous attorney, and had no more money to hire another attorney. So the judge appointed Ms. Garno to represent me. She is a private attorney who was appointed to me on a Pro Bono basis; and I'll be honest I was worried about the level of service I was going to get from an appointed attorney... But I shouldn't have been... Ms. Garno represented me better than the attorney that I paid thousands of dollars to. Her professionalism and expertise was so good that she did something that is very rare, and she won a trial against DCF/Eckerd... My case was dismissed by the judge on a directed judgement, before we even had to plead our defense! If you're thinking about hiring Ms. Garno, stop thinking about it and just do it.
