I am so happy that I contacted Derek to help me with my divorce. I had spent a ton of money retaining a lawyer prior to reaching out to Derek, and ultimately didn't get the assistance I needed. When I contacted him, I was at my wit's end, emotionally, dealing with financial strain, unhelpful professionals, on top of a painful divorce situation. I met with him twice for consultation and he was very patient, compassionate, knowledgeable, and authentic. I have never been divorced before, so I was totally lost, and he explained all my options, rights, and responsibilities in language that made sense to me. He was also able to provide consultation by the hour, as needed, so I didn't have to go through the upfront cost of a huge retainer fee, when my divorce case didn't really call for it.
