Stopped in to retrieve my updated paperwork. Beth Young was extremely helpful in getting me the proper papers and ensuring that the paperwork was going to be delivered to the proper places. She's got my vote. 😉👍

The Trotter and Soulsby are professional and extremely knowledgeable. They assisted us with updating our will for our family. The process was stress free and we are grateful for their assistance.

I would NOT recommend these people, if you care about your loved ones after you are gone. I wish my dad would have known before his passing how awful these people treat the family of the deceased. Do not get me wrong, Mr. Ed Soulsby is a very nice person. His paralegal, which is the only person that will communicate with you after the fact, does not know how to be honest, forthcoming or communicate. My dealings started back in November 2022, when my father passed away, I dealt face to face with Mr. Ed Soulsby and he stated that I can contact him at any time. Well, that turned out to be incorrect and not forth coming. I was told that the entire process of setting up a trust and approved by the courts, per my dad’s request, for my mom would take about a year per our discussion with Mr. Ed Soulsby, face to face. This timeline kept lengthening every few months. Maybe being treated nice by the lawyer is the only thing that is important upfront. I had accepted the original period, as courts can be busy, and I knew there was some waiting time. Every step was delayed for whatever reason. Even waiting for the creditors to respond was delayed, as this was not put out until almost 3 months after my dad had passed. Communication from the law firm is nil. You must contact them; they will not contact you. They will wait, even if there is a concern or a step is completed, until you contact them. You are kept in the dark through the entire process unless you call, email and ask. Back in September 2023 my mom passed away. At that time, the process should have gone through a motion of discharge as she no longer required the Trust. Note, I am an only child and executor of their wills and estate. Once I sent them a copy of my mom’s death certificate, they should have acted on getting the case discharged. In October 2023 they were asking about some assets, that I had disclosed back in March 2023. I had to re-send them this information, as they lost it. So unprofessional. On December 18,2023, per a phone conversation with their paralegal, I paid the remaining balance for the discharge of the estate. Funny how payment is demanded, yet services not completely rendered. On January 18, 2024, after following up with the paralegal again, to see if the paperwork was finally signed, amazingly on that same day it was finally signed and it was e-filed back to the attorney’s office from the court. I was then told the documents would be mailed to me within a week. This meant no later than January 26, 2024. On February 8, 2024, I again emailed to inquire the date that they were in fact mailed as I had not received the documents. They finally sent me a copy, of what was supposedly mailed to me on February 2, 2024, and the cover letter was dated February 2, 2024. (Last I checked that is well AFTER January 26, 2024). Again, this last Monday, February 12, 2024, I emailed her as to the mailing status. She told me that they had been mailed on the February 2, 2024. Today, February 13, 2024, I FINALLY received the documents, with a postmark of February 8, 2024. How do you expect me to believe anything really transpired over the last 14 months, if you cannot even tell the truth about mailing status of legal documents???

Mr. Soulsby is one of the most thoughtful, approachable lawyers I have interacted with. Excellent "bedside" manner for folks working through complicated situations and making plans for the grand conclusion. I highly recommend him.
