Cant say enough about the Chesnutt Law Firm. From day one they have been so helpful and focused on getting me through my case. Each time i have had a question or concern there just a phone call or email away. They respond in a reasonable time and the staff there are like there your own family. As a single mother of 2 small kids with a fixed income, I was dealing with an abusive ex whom was known to be abusive to our small child. I filed everything myself up until mediation and then hired Susan Chesnutt right after. I spent $3500 right up front to retain her office. I thought I was in good hands. For just over 1 year, I have spent over $6,800 to her office for her services. My annual income was $20,000 supporting 2 small kids, rent, ect on that. The case was over and my ex was ordered child support and back child support, GREAT. But as soon as her office closed the case, they had sent me to collections for $700. I had given them my taxes every year to pay for her services and I had emailed her office explaining if they can hold off for a few months, specifically by the end of october 2018 or February 2019 when I receive my taxes, like I do every year. The office responded with "ok, we will reach out to you then". October 23, 2018, I receive a collections notice! The office never even reached out to me telling me they will be sending me to collections! I had just paid off all my credit cards, car note and only had a low monthly payment for a loan I had gotten to pay off my debt. I was in line for Habitat for Humanity to get into an affordable house for me and my 2 sons...now I am illegible for the program since now I have a collections on my name..I contacted the office and stated the emails that were sent back and forth and i was told, "what's done is done". I received one collections bill since Oct 2018 and now I'm getting calls that they will be taking me to court for it! This is unethical in my eyes when you say one thing and do another that affects one's credit, especially when I worked hard to bring it up. Unless you make money and have it available, I wouldn't trust this office. I normally don't write reviews but messing with my credit was a low blow. Especially when we had worked out an agreement before hand.

I highly, highly recommend The Chesnutt Law firm if your looking for a criminal lawyer. Susan is very passionate about her work and you can tell she loves doing her job. I am so glad that we hired Susan to represent us. She helped out our family. Her whole staff is very caring. Susan is a lawyer you need to hire. Thank you so very much Susan for all your help and thank you to your staff.
