I found myself trapped in a marriage with a master manipulator. Was being abused psychologically, emotionally and financially for years. My ex had the upper hand in everything, I got checkmate in every direction. It was imperative to find someone who was highly skilled in family law but at the same time also understood covert narcissistic abuse. My experience, not all lawyers get it. People who go through this kind of abuse need a different level of understanding and support, Mr. Stephens and his staff gave me that. He never not once, made me feel I was just being paranoid - he truly understood the dynamics of my ex's twisted game. He listened every time, acknowledged patiently my concerns and answered my questions. Other lawyers leave you in the dark and give you panic attacks, that's the last thing you need. I don't know how Mr. Stephens and his staff do it but they make you feel safe and assured. Mr. Stephens believed in me and gave his unwavering support. I did not have to worry about the divorce process because he built a wall to protect me and my child. That concern was lifted off from me and that made a huge difference. For the first time my ex (and his flying monkeys) did not attempt his games. I was able to be the mother of a child who has high needs. I am here because of Mr. Stephens. Mr. Stephens character and integrity is outstanding. There is no question he is at the top of his craft. When you speak of lawyers fighting for justice this is it. Having him as my lawyer was a blessing. Mr. Stephens is a GREAT HUMAN BEING! I will be forever grateful. We won every trial and in the end I got my justice!
