This law firm was a true God send as I was navigating the tricky world of disability insurance. I have worked with Stephen Jessup and he has been so compassionate, kind, and willing to help me understand the world of disability insurance. I initially lost my disability insurance and he quickly had it reinstated. I don't know what I would have done without him and his wonderful team.

Dell has been great, I have been working with them for over 10+ years. They have handled every aspect of my case with care, and dedication to me the client. I was torn in the beginning as I'm a do-it myself kind of person, but I didn't want to make any mistakes and cause issues with my claim. Dell & Schaefer is AWESOME. I will say that I just don’t trust disability insurance companies, nor do I feel like I can navigate the intricacies of the appeal process without legal assistance. When I researched Dell & Shaefer, the thing that stood out was the detail of the testimonials provided by their prior clients. That, and how long they were in business. I was not at all nervous that they were in Florida and I was in California. I became even more impressed with their professionalism and level of personal “care” after working with them over time. Every one of them treated me, a minority person, with the utmost respect throughout the process of their helping me. They were extremely thorough in their response to the insurance company and worked closely with my Doctors to get the information they needed from them. The insurance company was very obviously motivated to deny my claim despite it’s merits, as they often are when the claim is psychiatric. Such claims are limited to two years, unlike physical disabilities, even if they can last the rest of your life as mine can. So, it obviously was not as lucrative as a longer term settlement would be for Dell and Schaefer. That did not change how hard Jay Symonds, Attorney, and his team worked on my case. Jay Symonds, Attorney, Sonia Nogueira, Legal Assistant, and Randa Esayg, Disability Specialist, worked very very hard on my case – and ultimately we came to what I believe is a very fair negotiated settlement. Jay Symonds is very family oriented, as am I – and that was obvious in all of my interactions with him. He was always very responsive and willing to get on the phone to explain any details I had questions about. Sonia Nogueira was extremely helpful in managing all of the mountains of paperwork and keeping things on track, while Randa Esayg provided valuable insights to assist in my appeal. Each and every team member of Dell and Schaefer contributed substantially to my being able to obtain a settlement from The Hartford in a timely fashion.
