I want to thank Haley Hestbeck and Katie Nagel. They took a very hard and complicated task, for me, off my shoulders. We had lost our son, he had no will. We were told to go to the probate web site and print out the forms. Complete the forms and mail to the courts. I printed off copy after copy. I was so confused, was not sure I was even completing all the sections I needed to. Do I fill out this section? Do I leave this section blank? I would be in tears. At first it seems like an easy process but it's not I was passed from one lawyer to various paralegals, I haven't actually met with anyone yet, they were recommended to me by Orlando health, but if they tell you it takes 2 weeks don't believe it, I wouldn't recommend this firm to my worst enemy.

I was not prepared for disability at my age and the need to rely on Medicaid was paramount to my care. Trying to understand and file the documents needed was a minefield I could not walk through alone. If there were 10 stars, I would click on ten stars! Marvelis Reyes with Family First Firm is truly our hero in getting our mom approved for Medicaid. Although there were forms to review and sign, Mrs. Reyes handled most of the process (aside from getting our signatures). She explained in detail in laymen's terms during the whole process that made sense to us. She also was extremely patient with us as well as very professional. All the forms that had to be submitted would have been truly daunting and extremely confusing to our family if we did not have Mrs. Reyes to handle all of this as well as communicating to agencies herself when needed. If you do not know anything about applying for Medicaid, I recommend that you seek legal assistance to assist you with the process. It is extremely difficult and intimidating and you could ultimately be denied of Medicaid if forms are not filled out correctly. I HIGHLY recommend Family First Firm. Thank you Marvelis! I am in the early and beginning stages of my own medicaid planning/review of an older will, etc. I have been extremely pleased with the information I have received from Matthew Carli, who is associated. with this firm. His knowledge in planning has been informative , as above mentioned ,and has "opened my eyes" to my ignorance, (he didn"t use that word!) and lack of awareness concerning above subjects. I"m not done yet, but a big thank you to Matthew for his help and quick replies to any questions. Grateful!!!
