Family law is messy, emotional and the stakes are high. My divorce was fairly atypical. Steven and I were living in different time zones and there were many unique issues and difficulties to be addressed. Prior to hiring Steven, I interviewed a few recommended lawyers and most gave me a prognosis of a three to five year divorce. Thanks to Steven’s intelligence, efficiency, effectiveness and pragmatic approach I was divorced with excellent results and settlement in less than four months.  He has changed my whole outlook on lawyers. Steven is a man that listens without prejudice or judgments. He is a superb attorney that offers sound advice with his client’s best interest in mind, and does not loose sight of what is at stake. He provided productive, timely reviews of preliminary drafts ensuring that my case was handled in a sensitive, appropriate manner and he seemed to always make the best choice as to when to be flexible and when to be firm. I am relieved I found Steve Kirson to help me regarding a prenuptial agreement crafted with a clause that would have harmed me greatly in the long run. Steve represents hall of fame athletes, but he never treated my case as less important than those of his famous clients. He is knowledgeable and strategic -- right away, he assessed the facts of my case, he worked with me to develop a case strategy, and then he executed upon it with precision and efficiency. While not inexpensive, Steve's fees were reasonable for the high quality and meaningful work that was performed. In addition to legal skill, I really like Steve. He's tough, but also a good person. He truly listened to me, was sensitive to my concerns, I always felt comfortable discussing personal matters with him, and I never doubted for one minute that he wasn't fully committed to and capable of reaching the best possible outcome for me (which he did).

I hired Steven for, what was for me, a painful and difficult divorce, after interviewing a couple other firms/lawyers. I found him to be thorough, honest but kind, and always looking out for my best interest. This is easy to claim but hard to find. I recommend him without reservations.

I hired Mr. Kirson on the referral of a founding partner, who was an acquaintance. Opposing counsel sued me for child support modification, ignoring the divorce decree that mandated mediation first (even as she herself signed the decree). Mr. Kirson did not defend against it, but instead entered a five-month tug-of-war that didn't deliver as this firm promised. I feel that my case was not handled in a proactive manner, and that what was written on my divorce decree didn't matter.

Steve came highly recommended by another lawyer, and he exceeded my expectations. I was glad to have Steve on my side at a difficult time. He was extremely knowledgeable, easy to work with, and got things taken care of right. Fantastic work.
