In 2014 I was the victim of a horrific accident in which I was the pedestrian and was hit while standing on the sidewalk. I was a pre-med student at Emory University at the time. I suffered massive injuries including 4th degree burns in my legs. I spent a lot of time in the hospital immediately after the accident and then went to various medical providers and had to take a leave from school for the semester. I am from South Carolina and didn’t know how to deal with the legal process in Georgia or how to locate a good attorney. Luckily, my student advisor at Emory connected me to Mr. Powell.
