I hired Amber to respond to an Office Action (OA) received by the USPTO. I read the OA and I felt like my trademark application should not have been rejected. Instead of thinking I was smarter than the Examining Attorney, I decided to hire a lawyer. I reached out to Amber from an email I received from her firm explaining how they could help. Amber gave me a free consultation and we discussed my application and the reason for the OA. She clearly explained what the next steps would be and charged a very reasonable rate. Amber explained all the paperwork I would need to sign clearly. After agreeing to retain her legal services, we began the process of responding to the OA. She drafted the response and allowed me to read and review it. She left things open for questions and concerns. I'm no lawyer, but I was very impressed with the work that Amber had done while reading the OA response draft. What a difference hiring professional makes. Amber has and continues to keep me updated every step of the way as we continue down the path of my trademark application. I wish I would have hired her in the beginning for my trademark application; I believe if I had, I wouldn't have this problem. If there is one thing potential clients will need to understand is that Amber does not mince words; she is very direct. However, it is important to understand that her clients are entrepreneurs and businessmen/women. Time is very valuable to both parties, so to me this is a plus. If my business is successful, I will continue to lean on Amber's firm for consulting and legal needs.
