At 74, i do no like dealing with the unknown, but I took a chance with Melissa, whose name I obtained online. Possibly the best decision I have ever made. She is prompt. A great communicator. Offered excellent suggestions and guidance. Extremely fair on her fee, and has excellent followup skills. Not an easy traffic case. Was VERY pleased.

Melissa was a tremendous asset to my case. She was communicative, knowledgeable, and very reassuring. She explained the process of how she would handle the circumstances, and the outcome. I would highly recommend!

Melissa is really professional in traffic cases. I was hit down by a car and the driver lies to police. I got a ticket while injured. She helped me get rid of my traffic ticket quickly. She was really patient in dealing with her clients. She would explain everything in details to me so that I could get a better understanding of the case.

I was SO happy that I found her. She helped me to understand my options with my speeding ticket and ultimately I was able to have the charge reduced without any points on my license and not my insurance rate won't go up. Thank you again for being willing to help me at the last minute!

Scheidel represented me on three traffic charges caused by a medical condition in a North Atlanta city. In addition to fines, the court levied additional penalties that were excessive. She helped to get the additional penalties, and two of three more serious charges removed. This is still fresh, and I am extremely relieved. Definitely hire.

Melissa Scheidel is the exact opposite of what I thought I would find when I first started my search for a lawyer. I had gotten my 2nd DUI in 3 years and I felt completely hopeless. I am in my low 20s and I was working at a low-income job. I was referred to her through a friend in the criminal defense business. I had called around to other lawyers and law offices and they were condescending and only made me more nervous about the situation I was in. Melissa was the exact opposite. I believe her first words were, "Everything is going to be okay, don't worry." She was extremely thorough and I actually felt safer knowing she was on my side. She communicated everything to me in terms I could understand and kept me up to date and in control of my case. If at any point something would change (in my case or in her working situation) I would receive a phone call asking my thoughts about an issue before she would act. I'm not sure how any of you would feel about this, but I LOVED it. Not only did she have more experience than she had told me, she used all of it to benefit me the most. My case ended exactly as I chose for it to, and quickly, even though Melissa had assured me multiple times that she was willing to go the distance for me. Things you need to know: Melissa is hardworking and consistently did so for me. I was treated with respect. She was willing to work as hard as needed to make sure I was comfortable in my sentence. She was very relatable. On my second DUI I chose to end the court sessions early and my sentence was as follows: All the normal classes that are required for a DUI, a $500 fine, 40 hours community service, and probation (2 years..I chose two years instead of one) that would become nonreporting when I had finished all of the other requirements.

Well prepared and very thorough, If you need any legal advice or someone to represent you Melissa is the person you want by your side. Helped me with some issues almost 20 years old. Gave me her personal phone number so I could contact her at anytime I needed which helped as I keep odd hours.
