My wife and I were in a terrible car accident near Thomson, GA. The accident was not our fault, the other driver made a left turn into our path. Both of us did receive injuries, that have required several surgeries, with very high medical bills. Neither my wife or myself been able to return to work because of these injuries. Me a and my wife were in a bad car accident several years ago. We were t-bones by a delivery driver who ran a stop sign and four lanes of highway and hit us. We both suffered multiple broken bones and scarring. My wife had to be air lifted and I spent three weeks in the hospital. Our doctor holds were around one million dollars. We called a lawyer friend who did not handle these type cases and Troy was recommended to us. It less than a year to get my wife's portion of the accident settled. My injuries were more extensive and required multiple surgeries. It took over two years to get mine settled. Troy kept us updated on everything going on even when I was in physical therapy and not much was going on. He let us know he was there if we needed anything and that he was still doing what he needed to do to get our case settled. He always took or returned our calls when we had questions. Although he wasn't able to represent me, he's the one and only Attorney who's taken the time to respond to my inquiry. I've no idea if it was from him personally or someone else at his direction, frankly that's irrelevant. The fact that someone took the time to reply at all, speaks volumes to me of his Character and manner in which he operates his law firm. (The inquiry was on a Thursday afternoon and that Saturday I received a reply)

I was rear-ended in a car accident & had a serious neck injury which causes severe headaches. Because of these continuing headaches, I've been unable to return to work. The other insurance co. initially refused to offer anything close to a fair settlement, so I had no choice but to sue the other driver. The insurance company ended up paying almost the full amount of insurance coverage, which was quite a bit more than I'd expected. I am so grateful to Troy, not only for negotiating such a great settlement for me, but for making it seem so easy! (for me it was easy!) Because of my constant pain, I'm no longer nearly as organized as I used to be, can be forgetful & most of all, just not up to doing very much on any given day, yet Troy managed to stay on top of things & worked out this great deal while showing me only kindness, understanding & patience. Troy kept things in perspective and realistic. His advise was based off what was in my best interests, whether it was what I wanted to hear or not and he executed on that basis as well. Troy Lanier helped settle a complicated case dealing with my sister and handling the house that was supposed to be split three ways between siblings. My sister tried to take everything then hid and Mr. Lanier hired a private investigator to track her down she was for to acquire her own attorney and let's just say things worked out as it should.

My mother passed away and left a large estate, including a family home place and a farm. During the last part of my mother’s life she developed dementia and a relative took her to a lawyer who drew a will and a trust to disinherit me and my sister. This was not what my mother wanted, but the relative used her relationship to influence my mother. All of this was done in secret, because the relative knew that I wouldn’t have allowed her to take advantage of my mother. It was not until my mother was diagnosed with stage 4 colon and rectal cancer did the relative mention that they were in charge of the estate. At the time it was discovered my mother was in the Hospital and this relative was not allowing any visitors. My mother only lived two weeks after being admitted into the hospital. During this time my sister and I talked about what the relative had done and decided that we would hire a lawyer and try to undo the will and trust the relative had created. We began a search for a lawyer and Troy Lanier was recommended. We met with Troy discussed options, my sister and I both determined that Troy seemed to be a great choice, not only did he take the time to really listen to our case but offered solutions. We hired Troy and he filed challenges to both the Will and the Trust, and sued the relative responsible. The case then went to a lengthy jury trial which we won. Troy was very prepared for the trial, very honest in his approach and seemed to captivate the jury on his every word. He chronologically laid out events from my childhood all the way until my mother death, to help the jury understand that this was not what my mother would have wanted. Jury deliberation only lasted about thirty minutes in which they ruled the Trust was invalid and the relative was guilty of un due influence. When the relative lost the jury trial they tried to get the Judge to award them a new trial, which we won that motion and a new trial was denied. The relative then filed a appeal to the Georgia Supreme Court to reverse the Superior Court’s decision and we won that also and the appeal was denied. This was a very long ordeal over a period of four years mainly because of the constant appeals from the relative, but the one thing I never had any doubt about was that I had hired the right lawyer because throughout the entire time Troy kept me informed and told me what to expect next. I know a lot of people make jokes about lawyers but I can say that Troy is a man of honesty and integrity, not once did I ever doubt his ability and always had confidence that Troy always had my interest first. I hope that I don’t ever need a lawyer again but if I do it will be Troy Lanier.

I have never been involved in a lawsuit in my 65 years. An unscrupulous contractor had completed work for me in the above $50k range. It turned out to be shoddy as the faults were becoming evident not too long after all my checks had cleared. I asked the contractor to stand by what was promised, but not delivered, and he refused. Asking other contractors then to evaluate what happened; they revealed I was cheated by gross overcharging for the work done. Also, much of what was done was improper; and cheaper materials were substituted than called for in the original contract for work. After confronting the original contractor, he refused again any accommodation to fix the problems. I hired Mr. Lanier at that time. He had my full trust and confidence immediately! Careful and patient he sifted through my initial emotional ramblings; quickly framed the legal issue; advised to the strength and weakness of my possible litigation; and presented an array of possible outcomes. He presented it all in layman's language. He advised me on all this after initial discussions, evaluation of contracts, photos, his personal viewing of the damage, documents, canceled checks, and other factors. Very thorough. He also, at that time, advised of potential costs, possible duration of, and potential frustrations with the legal wrangling and proceedings. The opposition, two different insurance companies, over many months, used every delay and presented every obstacle in their playbook to deter us from pressing it to a jury. Masterful deposition work and legal filings by Troy. He also appeared on my behalf in court protesting to a judge the delays and demanding a trial date. The end result was court directed mediation as a first step. He masterfully navigated the mediation and provided wise counsel to me during it. I believe ALL that could be fairly obtained for me was. Weighing alternatives carefully, I agreed to settle. When the final accounting was done Troy would have rightfully earned but, nevertheless, would have gotten more cash out of the settlement than I would have as the injured party. He forgave a portion of his earned legal fees to make things more equitable and beneficial to me. A generous act from a selfless man. He checks with me weekly, as there is one loose end about a subcontractor doing work as part of the settlement, which is not yet completed. I have no doubt he will continue to follow up until it is properly closed and what was agreed to by all parties is fulfilled.... exactly. I would not seek out any other lawyer if I needed representation ever again. He is imo the best of the best. I recommend him highly.
