Let me start off by saying I am in the customer service line of work and have never done a negative review because I know what it's like to work with the public and sometimes people just like to complain. In this case I can't let this slip by. Run don't walk from Kim if you need a closing attorney. My real estate agent did an awesome job in listing, helping prep and selling my home but the buyer picked this closing office. I'm not going to bore you with the back and forth but it was like dealing with a bunch of teenagers and just not telling you the whole truth. It was a simple closing and we the sellers were out of state and could not, nor did we have to, attend the closing. If we could have been there they would have disbursed our proceeds on the spot. However, because we were not present it developed into the biggest trail of lies of omission and unprofessional courtesy including an unethical social media posting (see below). The closing occurred on 10/22/13 and we were told our check was cut on the 23rd but mailed on the 24th. After not receiving the check a week later we called and emailed requesting confirmation of where the check was mailed fearing it went to the house we sold, yet they would not reply. After our agent got involved and threw a well deserved fit, Kim's office agreed to put a stop payment on the original check and mail us a new one. This occurred on 10/31. Meanwhile at least two staff members told us the delay was our fault because we should have asked them to wire the money and pay an additional $25 though we had already paid a $75 "post closing fee". Low and behold both checks arrived on 11/01 which is when we discovered that the original check was dated 10/29/13 and postmarked the same day. This is a full 7 days past the date of closing.
