Our mother needed care for a number of aliments including dementia, Parkinson’s disease, and diminished vision. We sought care in a licensed facility. Eventually, we learned that our mother sustained numerous falls, including falling out of a wheelchair while being transported by staff; falling in her room and later discovered by staff with her head lodged between nightstand and bed; and other incidents which remained unreported to family. Eventually, mom died. We sought answers from Ken Bernard and the legal team at Sherrod & Bernard, P.C. Although nothing will bring mom back, we feel a sense of peace knowing that Ken’s team did everything they could to make sure the pain and suffering my mother endured while a resident at the facility would not happen to others.
