Unprofessional and seriously dropped the ball. $7500 wasted and thrown away.

I was referred to Ms Price by my employee assistance program. She started out sympathetic and helpful but once I retained her everything changed. It took her three months to file my initial paperwork with the courts and that was only after me calling and texting several times. Then once paperwork was filed she went out on leave without informing me of her return date. She asked me to text her because she would be able to respond quicker but I would have to send several messages over a couple of weeks before she would acknowledge. We did not have a signed contract but our verbal agreement was for a flat rate that was supposed to cover all paperwork up to mediation and court but she came back and told me I had to pay $1000 more for something that was supposed to be covered in the flat rate. Five months after I retained her I decided to go with another lawyer. I requested a refund for the $1000 because she had not started working on that document/service and i informed her I was retaining other counsel. She refused to even speak with me and only sent a letter saying I owed her money because once I stopped using her services she calculated everything on a fee for service basis which went against what she originally stated. I went back to my employee assistance program and asked for their help in obtaining a partial refund but she lied to them saying she rendered all services. To date she has yet to send me a bill for the amount she claims I still owe. Ms Price was very unprofessional and does not communicate. I would not recommend retaining her.

She charged me $900 for 2 phone calls and 2 emails she sent to my exs lawyer and has now claimed she tried to negotiate this for me but it needs to goto court and i owe her another $1000. Do not throw away your money on this useless attorney. She communicates thru texts and never calls you personally. You have to call her and of course she is never available. A friend told me i need to report her to the bar because of her unethical behavior which i am going to do

First off, If I could give zero stars I certainly would. This has been the worst experience ever! I have been dealing with this attorney for 4 years.( which is how long it has taken to settle my case.) The lack of communication is ridiculous. Any time I wanted to be informed on my case I had to call the office, cell phone or send a email. Very impersonal. Now fast forward my case finally settles out of court because Anitra decided at the last minute after 4 years that she doesn’t feel confident about going to trial. Well I wouldn’t either if I hadn’t done anything for the past 4 years. Anitra now is trying to charge me 40% for wasting 4 years of my life. I have disputed these fees and now she has been with holding my settlement funds for the past 3 months. The only funds that should be withheld are the funds in dispute everything else should be disbursed. Anitra could not relate to my personal injury case and I blame myself for not doing more research and finding a real lawyer who could relate to the pain I was going through as a mother watching my daughter suffer and be hurt and not receive justice. Still I sit here 4 years later feeling cheated and completely taken advantage of by someone who is supposed to be licensed to represent you and get justice for you. All I ask is that anyone who reads my review does their research before hiring this attorney the bar association should really take a deep look into this woman and her activities and decide if she should continue to hold a license. I will also be filing a complaint with the bar association so hopefully something can be done about this horrible practice. #one day at a time # no justice no peace
