Anjel Burgess is the absolute disability Lawyer ever! She is supremely knowledgeable, motivated to help, and a WINNER! My family and I are completely blessed to have had Ms Burgess on our side. She communicates well and truly cares about her clients. She was our Attorney but remains our friend well after my case was handled.

I was unsure If I should apply for disability because I didn’t know if I qualified until I contacted the law office of Anjel Burgess. After briefly explaining my health situation the caseworker knew upfront I had a case that was worth looking into. I did not have to worry about contacting any doctors or collecting any information about my medical history. The law office handled all this for me with ease. Ms. Burgess and her staff could not have been any better during the whole disability case process. From the first meeting with MH, to the most recent call with Ms. Burgess, everyone treated me with such kindness and consideration. All three of the women I worked with provided great communication and anticipatory guidance. They were helpful to the Nth degree and I so appreciate their help. Going thru the ss debacle is grueling and intimidating but with this team, there is no trick ss can pull outta the hat they haven't seen before, and that's where the gloomy mindset can come in. But they explain all the stuff to you and it helps with the anxiety you will encounter. It really really helps to have a professional on your team. Anjel Burgess was on top of everything during my 3 years of appeals for disability. Even during the long waiting periods between appeals she always reached out to check in. I retained Burgess & Christensen in 2018. I was met with a prompt courteous and extremely helpful, Martha!! She was my initial point person...whom offered me through and quick detailed answers to all of my many questions!! As the process proceeded, Martha and Alice Both, we a force to be reckoned with. Extremely knowledgeable, professional, and understanding of such difficult and hard time(s), this was for my child and myself. I was kept up to date via phone, email, texts and mail...and then throughout the lengthy process of initial denials. And appeals. Then, Ms. Burgess, fully prepared me for my upcoming hearing with an ALJ—which I might add was extremely nerve racking given a pandemic, ongoing degrading health and anxiety, Ms. Angel Burgess, was compassionate yet firm when prepping me for the hearing...which would now be via phone given the pandemic. The hearing rushed through (for me....on pins and needles just given the lengthy waiting and nerves praying the ALJ “hears me and understands the complete complex issues of my health and life) ...all the while Ms Angel Burgess was flawless with questions, answers and explanations. I could not think of a more incredibly versed, professional, understanding and compassionate Law Firm to offer any and all help in association with the disability process! I am extremely satisfied with the results that Ms. Burgess and her Team achieved for me. She got my Claim settled in less than 1/5th the time it normally takes(and she achieved this during a national pandemic, which should have made it take longer). Applying for Disability can be very stressful. Given that I was already in a weakened state it was almost impossible to dig through the procedures associated with the application/repeal steps. Attorney Burgess and her staff unraveled each process and helped it seem less impossible. I can't thank them all enough for helping me.

It is a very difficult to apply and navigate through the Social Security Disability process. Many people, like myself, find themselves confused and defeated over the process after being initially denied for your disabling condition. Then when you decide you must get a lawyer who do you turn to? I looked at reviews and am so glad I did. The team at Burgess and Christensen did an excellent job of explaining to me how things worked, why initial denials are so frequent, and what steps together we needed to take to win my case. The follow-ups, keeping me informed, were always there as well as answering all of my questions along the way. Not only did they do this with very extensive knowledge but also with compassion and understanding. We ended up before a Administrative Law Judge and Miss Burgess had us well prepared for our hearing. I was very impressed that her team had gathered so many critical medical records in advance of the the hearing. Miss Burgess was perfect in the hearing and we ended up getting a " Fully Favorable" decision. If anyone is seeking an attorney for your Social Security Disability, and read reviews and look into how well a lawyer does based on what their clients say then I highly recommend the office of Burgess and Christensen. Wow! I couldn’t have asked for anything better. Her staff was amazing, always there for any questions no matter how small. I know I had excellent representation and she was helpful in every way. She reassured me when I felt frustrated she answered all my questions and I never felt I was not her top priority! I recommend her to anyone needing help with a claim.
