Let me start by saying I would recommend Lance Dutton to anyone needing a lawyer. My custody case was very complicated and I didn't learn about Lance and this firm until my original lawyer was not helping and I had to look for replacement counsel. Lance came in mid way through my case with many obstacles and all the odds stacked against me. He stepped up and fought for me and won my case and I am more than pleased with the outcome. I hope I never have to go through anything like this again , but if I do, the first person I will call will be Lance. Top Notch in my book. The entire firm always treated me with respect even though we walked out of court the last day with me owing a balance they never treated me any different and was understanding of the situation... Review Going into my divorce I knew, based off a long history with my ex, that the process was going to be long, tedious and emotionally/financially draining. My dear friend and I (whom has the same lawyer, Lance Dutton) often commiserate together “if we had just hired Lance and his team FIRST, how much easier the whole divorce and custody process would have been.” So. Much. Easier. Under the circumstances, Lance Dutton has become somewhat of a friend. I joke with him that out of all my friends, I’ve invested the most into our friendship - but he, unlike the others, comes with experience, expertise and sound legal advice for dealing with difficult people. He has gone above and beyond to serve me and my family. Mr. Dutton has always treated me with respect, warmth and dignity. He has guided me in the right direction when, at times, I was thinking with emotions instead of reason. A good lawyer can see the bigger picture, and that’s the perspective he offered to me. At times I needed options and not to be told just what I wanted to hear - and that’s what Lance Dutton provided. He fought for me and gave me scenarios for every possible outcome. He never let me drown in the decision making process by guiding me one arduous step after another. His knowledge knew no bounds when it came to mediation, the parenting plan, the legal system and interactions with my ex. I didn’t receive a single piece of advice that led me astray. I wish I would have hired him sooner and saved myself from living in legal ambiguity land for years. To sum it up, I find Mr. Dutton to be kind in his interactions, lighthearted when needed and very knowledgeable in his field. I felt protected under his guidance and safe to speak freely. I was given solid advice and never felt untethered. He offered humor, kindness and that “easy” feeling you get from a friend but with the added benefit of being firm, aggressively in your corner and superior (in my opinion) in his field. Not to overlook his team, whom are very sincere, prompt and helpful. Their office is warm and inviting. All my conversations with anyone other than Mr Dutton have been accommodating and pleasant. I would recommend this law firm without hesitation.
