Very dissatisfied with the services here and I normally never write negative reviews. Mrs Everett was very hard to get to respond and she kept going out of office/ leave without notifying me. She’s a nice lady but there was no sense of urgency for my case. Very unfortunate and very frustrating. I would not recommend this firm at all.

PLEASE DO NOT HIRE THIS LADY. I used the Off the Record service to obtain an attorney. I was given her, it took her at least 3 weeks to initially contact me. My court date was about 2 weeks later. She never even showed up to court. Then I was told by the state and the clerk of courts. That she had never even filed paperwork stating that she was my attorney. I never witnessed such unprofessionalism in my life. If you decide to hire her, don’t say anyone didn’t warn you……..

I highly recommend this law office. The process was a little slow going ( court system). After 2 1/2 years my son was not only reunited with his children but gained custody, due to alienation. She is professional,compassionate and a true Godsend to us. We are forever appreciative of her and her staff. One blessed Mimi!!

Nice Office & Staff.

I have nothing but nice things to say because she went above and beyond to help me with my case. She was responsive and made the process drama free which is what I wanted. It was a peaceful and pleasant experience. My case was taken care of and I did not have to stress.

Ms.Everett was very on point with my case. My old landlord refused to return my Security Deposit. Ms.Everett got that back and some. They settled when she contacted them. But when i kept contacting them they gave me the run around. Ha now I got the last laugh THANKS MS.EVERETT. Definitely will be recommending you & keeping you stored in my phone

Ms. Everett is honestly the best lawyer I've had the pleasure to personally know...She's a part of our church Family and her professional ism and character showed through our whole ordeal. She was knowledgeable.. Professional.. and never once made us doubt that she cared about us and our situation..I gotta tell you it's a rare thing to find someone in her profession that doesn't judge or second guess you as a person..treats every case on a person to person basis and treats you like family..I would definitely refer anyone to her doorstep if you have legal issues..she didnt just save us once but twice. I contacted Ms. Everett for a traffic matter. She was able to save me from getting my license suspended and a $200 fine (when they originally wanted $700). I recommend her to anyone who fears for losing their license. Thank you Ms. Jay!!

I reached out to Ms. Ms. Everett to help me obtain custody of my son. After consulting, I paid her requested deposit of $500 via CASHAPP. Thats 10% of the $5000 flat she she quoted me during the consultation. She told me that she'd send me a draft filing within 7 business days of her recieving payment. After calling her multiple times to confirm reciept of my payment, she called me back days later and told me that she had been out of town. Days later, still no draft, no update, no reciept, no agreement obtaining her services. Its been almost a month since I've contacted Jay for help and I have gotten nowhere with my case. When i inquired about my case and the delay, she told me that she woke up unable to taste her toothpaste and that if I couldn't have compassion, then this wouldn't work. I tried to request a refund since she hadn't made any filings on my behalf, and because I couldn't move forward with the lack of communication and constant delays. Though I was originally told a flat rate, Im now being told that her rate is $200/hr and that she had spent 5 hours responding to my texts/calls/emails totaling $1000 leaving me a remaining balance of $500. I HAVE STILL YET TO RECIEVE ANY SERVICES FROM HER, not even the draft filing as promised. She lied and said that the draft was stuck in her outbox, but still never sent it. Then she sent me a form for me to sign AFTER I requested a refund and she starts throwing around random figures. She also told me that I paid my deposit late, when we never had any documbents describing payments, dates, nothing. Furthermore, I'VE NEVER MET HER IN PERSON, not even a Zoom call. There has only been phone communication. Today she gad a gentleman reach out to me stating that Jay has decided to "waive" the additional $500. In other words, I dont owe her anything, but im not getting my deposit back either. So basically, I'm out of $500 and have nothing to show for it. Not a draft, nothing. I basically paid her to tell me what she "could " do. Is this legal !? She should be working to help the public, not rob them. I'll be filing a formal complaint with the State Bar in the morning.
